RM7K is pretty low to be using AKPK. It's once in a lifetime last resort rescue. I believe you can work it around by cutting your expense commitment instead.

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Aug 20 2025, 07:37 AM)
Once you apply AKPk you will not be able to apply loans in the near future, even after you have fully paid of your outstanding loans, cc. Then the banks you have AKPk with will internally and permanently blacklist you from any future loans.
So you might want to reconsider applying for AKPk. Maybe try to talk to your banks about restructuring your existing loans first. Good luck.

Sorry but I need to correct this misinformation. You only can't apply loan when you're in AKPK. Once you're out of the AKPK program, you can apply loan as usual.

Thanks for the replies and advice everyone!

As for the past posts that I just posted.Just let it be.I haven't touched any upgrades or new gadgets+car oil.

I am located at Sabah, so part time options is very limited. Already try apply for parcel delivery but not available.

And my income is..RM2k plus abit of commission. Car loan + ASB loan + BNPL + personal device loan.
Before that I able to managed all the payments in time.

As for the postpaid plans..I take postpaid device plan.Total 4 plans. (Not iphone plan, just some android phone for my family to use.) I didn't realize the postpaid plans are acculamated. So I rely on the credit card to pay it off. ( After pay the cc monthly payment, I straight use it to pay off the plans.) And didn't realized cc it's already maxed out. Already sold all the unwanted gadgets. Luckily a 2 plan will be ended soon.

As asking for family for help, they can't due to limited budget now.

If akpk is not the option, how about the cimb restructure and reschedule option?

I expected to recovered from this next year.

Just wondering whether the banks somehow will have the record of the akpk thing and tag him as high risk customer.

So I have outstanding credit card around RM7K+ .Applied for balance conversion, yet barely able to survive after pay the monthly payment.

Other than credit card, I also have other bnpl payment. Spaylater, boost payflex. And also postpaid monthly payment around RM250 per month.

The worst decision is using the cc to paid for the postpaid payment. Now cc is unable to use due to max limit.

So I am thinking about going to akpk program.

My questions are
1. What will happen to my credit card after the akpk program completed? Can I still use it?
2. How long I will under ccris record?
3. If I have bnpl, like boost payflex and shopee paylater, will it be likely be frozen?

go imoney apply personal loan...
10k only rm150 monhtly tenure 10 years, 5 years rm300... should be much lower than CC/BNPL..

This is what I know

1. CCRIS won't show you're an ex AKPK user. Once you settle all your loan, it's wiped out in your CCRIS

2. CTOS will sort of "remember" you're an ex AKPK and continue to give you a low score for 2 years after coming out from AKPK (but won't tell you why in their report. Celaka one) . After 2 years it will "forget" that you're in AKPK before and your score will go up significantly.

3. So far the case I see of successful loan application after coming out from AKPK seems to be separate bank from the one that they went under AKPK. Whether bank internally maintain a black list is not known.

Nevertheless it's proven time and time that being ex AKPK user won't hinder your ability to get credit facilities significantly.

TS, AKPK is and only be used as final resort. You can apply it but this is your last chances given by BNM. My personal opinion, the value is not worth the AKPK (except u already thinking along for way forward)...

For your question, they all will be wiped clean... basically, they either just focus all the hutang to 1 bank or lower the commitment with each party.

But, the period will be longer and you will not have any credit/bank facility except 1 account if i'm not mistaken

Hey even if it's 7k you can still go to APPK for advice. Besides it is your right as a Malaysian who needs financial advice. Go ahead and consult them..besides they encourage that you do that before it spirals even more out of control.. I don't believe it will activate anything unless they had to talk to the bank whom you owe the money to..

It's not a small amount, it is not a big amount. But it is crushing against a person's other commitments. Take care.

Currently I’m an AKPK subscriber, so I’ll answer your questions based on my own situation with AKPK. Your amount seems quite low, so I don’t think you can masuk AKPK — I had 7 credit cards with max limits of 20k each, sampai rasa nak mati last time when I lost my job during the pandemic. So here goes:

1. What will happen to my credit card after the AKPK program is completed? Can I still use it?
Nope, once you put your credit card under AKPK, that card is permanently unusable. I suggest keeping at least one card for emergency use — just pay the minimum until the highest interest card is cleared, then snowball the payments until it’s fully settled.

2. How long will I be under CCRIS record?
Your CCRIS stays clean, but you cannot apply for new loans until you’ve fully completed AKPK (all debts settled). If you quit halfway, then your CCRIS record will show bad because of outstanding debts.

3. If I have BNPL like Boost PayFlex or Shopee PayLater, will they be frozen?
These don’t fall under AKPK since they’re not regulated by Bank Negara — only bank facilities are included. So you can continue using them as usual.

hope answer your questions.  thumbup.gif

You not yet wake up.

Not yet bro, still ongoing. Usually AKPK plans run around 5–10 years depending on how big the debt. Mine ikat 10 years, about 6-7 years left. But I’m slowly closing 1 by 1 — every time I dump some extra direct to the bank, they issue letter to AKPK to remove the settled record, so my monthly drops as well. Started with RM1k++ now tinggal around RM700 je, already closed a few CC and personal loan.

1st 2 years they give what they call ‘cooldown’ — only pay 50% of actual monthly. After 2 years baru kena full, but you can request extend another 2 years (they’ll recalc the payment).

just ask the cc convert to loan -- end story, u pay fixed, and no longer use the cc, and flat rate of interest. bank sure don't like it but still accept.

Ya I think this is the best option. I used to have a CIMB credit card too and had outstanding debt (don't remember the exact amount anymore). But I did ignore it for a couple of years and even got several love letters from Kudrat (the collection agency). Eventually I took the offer to convert the cc debt to loan and paid it off some time in June or July 2024. I was even offered to clear the debt in lump sum several times at a lower amount but too bad I didn't have the money to do so, or to be more accurate, "sayang" the money lol.gif but after that I continued paying every month religiously. Tau2 dah setel. Huhu. Anyway, good luck TS!

Strangely the credit card co reject my applications til now, so there is some record somewhere that says i wont be a good customer

next time always look at your bank balance, and think about what you want to spend.

use maybank 2u or whatever internet banking.

everytime you want to swip your card, look at your banking app for bankbalance.

then your heart will tell you not to spend.

Same! I regret ever applying for the credit card but at least I learned a very good lesson! Cash saves, credit enslaves.

7k is a very small sum to clear.

look at your collection of gadgets and lelong them away I'm sure can kautum half the debt.

The more gadgets , leisurely purchases you own... the more excuse you make not to find extra income coz you want to spend more time enjoying those gadgets.
