The upu intake for stpm was only 4% from total from the 500k um medicine thread, therefore reflecting what I assumed they are trying to say here no?

I don't know mandarin, but looking at the numbers, it seems to be the case

The so called intake standard has 90% weight on CGPA and 10% weightage on koko.

CGPA:
Matriculation - Easier to score
STPM - Just ask anyone on the street. People will tell you it is hell.

Koko:
Matriculation students has more access to broader level of activities. Say if you represent the college, you are already state level, completed with support & transport.
For STPM, you start from district level.

Well, academic wise, you can grind damn hard can get 4.0, then the key differentiator becomes koko mark, which you don't have the chance to score. You time goes to transport & grind harder in academy, not much time left for the state or even national level competition.

In additional, we also have to see how many STPM & matriculation students applied for each course as different a viewpoint. We need to identify whether it is due to low amount of STPM applicant since STPM 4.0 is rare. Biology is hell.

The media took the incomplete STPM figure (or just those who took the survey?) as entire chinese, which is incorrect.

If say like this, then the stpm schools need some sort of mechanism to score for koko

I know school overseas, always got random sporting event with the area, state etc. it's on seasonal basis. And they get everyone involved from primary school.

Correct. Alternatively be like SPM full A offer. The amount of STPM 4.0 student is not many, so government can instruct UPU to offer any of the selected course in the list by the student. As long as STPM score doesn't inflate like SPM, this scheme should work. You study extra 1 year but in turn get a special perk with 4.0, why not?

E invoice also issued for those 500k and above. Those who are below don’t issue e invoices. The hawkers who does not qualify do not issue e invoices but increase prices.. so how are the connected, then? Even scammers do not issue e invoices…..

Stpm is a way to accomodate with the quota system. Since not many 4.00 cgpa STPM that will take medical so its easy for them to control. But 4.00 is a standard for UM admission but its easy to score in Matriculation with shorter time. So even a 3.70 cgpa STPM is anytime better than you score 4.00 from matriculation.

In long term, the standard and quality will drop and hence no improvement compare with other countries like Australia, Singapore , Hong Kong, Japan, Korea etc. Because they are not getting the best talent to be admitted to UM.

Vote MCA dapat TAR college => TARUMT, UTAR.
