QUOTE(silverhawk @ Jun 23 2025, 10:57 AM) Induction is better than Gas, at least for household. Yes I use induction cooker too.It just takes some getting used to if you're used to cooking with fire. I always point out that ktards are rabid EV supporter but when it comes to hob they are allergic to electric. |

QUOTE(killdavid @ Jun 23 2025, 10:44 AM) Many people who aren't electric hob users says it is inferior. no problem with the change. they don't do stir frying...just soups, braising, steaming and boiling. they also feel safer. i also had a licensed wireman test the circuit breakers and earthing after installation, preferring to spend a bit more even if erring on the side of safety. So what was the usage experience of your parents ? Don't like it or no problem adapting ? |

There is still a next time. just go in after another 3 minutes and it would probably have been way safer or already exploded.

Induction heats the pan/pot directly. The ceramic heats up an element on the cook top, which then has to transfer the heat to the pot/pan. Its less efficient than an induction cooker. Its only useful if you don't have induction compatible cookware. |

Yes u r correct...induction hobs are indeed more efficient. But my parents like to make stews, soups etc using Corningware (which doesn't work with induction), and prefer "traditional" heating elements. Am not the least bit concerned with the electricity bill, just the safety and comfort of my old folks.Ditching gas got so much pros. |

the man and women who got burned could suffer from internal injuries due to the air and heat pressure hitting the body
recall the women who opened her car door when fueling up, got hit by a second of this air and heat pressure she did not display visible burns but died subsequently in ICU |
