Seriously, after 2 gas leak incidents, I totally ditched gas and use only induction/ceramic cooker.

Now my home is explosion risk free innocent.gif

Induction is better than Gas, at least for household.

It just takes some getting used to if you're used to cooking with fire.

I use 2 in 1 combo, 1 side induction and another side "ceramic cooker?" Induction good for boiling water, the ceramic side can go up higher temperature better for oil frying. But I mostly use induction only. sweat.gif

Huh?

How is your ceramic going higher than induction?

Induction heats the pan/pot directly. The ceramic heats up an element on the cook top, which then has to transfer the heat to the pot/pan. Its less efficient than an induction cooker. Its only useful if you don't have induction compatible cookware.

Not too sure, last when my mom fried stuff, the induction side the food won’t be fried as good and result is oily, but the ceramic side fried food is much crispier and won’t soak in as much oil in the end.

Nowadays I only use air fryer to fry frozen nuggets/chicken sweat.gif

Yes. And I don't care about electricity bill.

Induction hob is so efficient that I barely noticed any hike in power bill after the switch. No more calling and waiting for gas delivery, no more moving the heavy tank around and also save lots of space under stove can put other things.

Ditching gas got so much pros.

What does the cooktop have to do with oily/crispier? laugh.gif

Ayam not expert, but if frying oil not hot enough, your fried food absorb more oil and not so crispy.
