no problem with the change. they don't do stir frying...just soups, braising, steaming and boiling. they also feel safer. i also had a licensed wireman test the circuit breakers and earthing after installation, preferring to spend a bit more even if erring on the side of safety.

Yes u r correct...induction hobs are indeed more efficient. But my parents like to make stews, soups etc using Corningware (which doesn't work with induction), and prefer "traditional" heating elements. Am not the least bit concerned with the electricity bill, just the safety and comfort of my old folks.
