They need to ban them from renew/apply passport. To lift the ban, they need to subsequently pay the ptptn for 3-6 months.

Ketua pembangkang Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim menyeru kepada golongan peminjam supaya tidak membuat bayaran kepada Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional (PTPTN).

Anwar menyatakan demikian kepada 10,000 orang dalam satu ceramah di kawasan parlimennya, Permatang Pauh pada malam Sabtu lalu, menurut laporan akhbar berbahasa Cina Sin Chew Daily.

Akhbar itu memetik Anwar sebagai berkata, Pakatan Rakyat didakwa akan memansuhkan PTPTN dalam tempoh setahun sekiranya pilihan raya diadakan pada tahun ini dan jika Pakatan berjaya menawan Putrajaya.

Skim pinjaman itu akan digantikan dengan pendidikan percuma dari peringkat sekolah rendah sehingga pengajian tinggi, untuk semua rakyat Malaysia, kata Anwar lagi.

Beliau juga mengulangi tawaran Pakatan untuk mengurangkan harga minyak dalam tempoh sehari selepas Pakatan Rakyat membentuk kerajaan, menurut laporan itu.

Nvm, let them cook. We all knew which type not paid the most. In the end all these will bite back when their kids or cucu want to study Uni or college time but unable to get PTPTN due to low funds. Always use those manifesto reason not to pay but in reality we all knew government are in great debt due to previous poor decision & corruption, for some like us even if we borrow money or something and the lender dont want to take it back we will find ways to return the favor in other forms.

Its impossible to as all these ppl will always change jobs. How to keep track. And also alot of them are jobless or doing odd jobs where the salaries are paid by cash.

old past borrowers maybe cant do shit if gov scared to block their travel and affect their ccris.

but for new borrowers, kalau nak borrow, put in a clause auto deduct from salary payslip or epf and put in there that gov can block travel etc.

RM5bil, every year government has to pay government bond at 4% per year, that's RM200mil per year, 10 years interest sudah RM2bil

i would opt another simplER logic which is
when one BORROWS money
the only right thing to do is PAY BACK what's OWED

the problem starts when one takes takes takes and keep taking
until become such a NORM
