Only thing great about iOS that I can think of is Face ID, even when wearing mask the 16e can unlock.

but their google back up sync is suck....
i still cant find any back up service can sync exactly like my phone content beside iCloud....
i subscribe google one and hv my kid sharing the storage for photo... i wasting a lot time to delete from cloud as well as on their phone... why dont google just sync what ever action i do on phone and do it the same on the cloud at the same time...

Maybe u confusing yourself , i been using google photos for so many year without any problem , cuma not sure is their server or my connection problem , it sometime might take a little bit time to appear on https://photos.google.com/ link , need a few refresh sometime , but so far so good , Sync from my iphone , ipad , android , windows PC perfectly.


Deleting photo thru your phone wont del the picture from Google Photos , u need to del the photo from Google Photos apps because the App was act as "CLOUD" , so if u del from CLOUD photo , only your other phone will follow to disappear.


The best thing to use Google Photos was after sync to it , i can del the photo / video from my phone With icloud , it stil need eat some space from your phone for the thumbnail size of photo on your phone , which i think a little bit weird for a cloud service , So i never need to worry my phone full of Picture/video that eat up my storage. I manage and arrange my Google photos very well , create the Photo album Folder nicely by follow the Year/Month , whenever i want to share it to my family , copy paste the LINK , bomb they can view my traveling picture on their phone I no need to pass my phone to let them view because sometime i do have some privacy photo on it. as u know Iphone OG photo album sux , WHOLE picture just mix all together LOL.


And some android phone actually default the Google Photos as their Default Photo Album Maybe u really need to find a proper tutorial video on youtube , once u figure out , its super powerful Cloud Photo Album i would say so far.


I can change to ANY DEVICE anytime , just login my google account , and all my OLD Photo gallery was appear on my Google Photos Apps

as i know people told me to use google photo to delete if wan to delete cloud photo..
will this action delete the photo in phone as well? or i still need to go to phone gallery to delete?
i will need to try out on my kid phone later...

i dont hv issue with phone space or cloud as i can just get bigger phone / cloud storage.. all i want is to keep the memory safe even though i lost my phone / tablet or HDD corrupted

the google cloud are use by my kid.. they hv a lot photo send by teacher / friend / trainer.. so i want cloud to help me keep the all the photo in case my kid dmg or lost their phone...

Photo Album is your Phone OG photo , Google Photos is like a "Google Drive" but they refine it to be NICER for VIEW , and u can edit , AI Erase , editing inside the apps , so u must treat the GP as a "Drive"


Let say u taking "A" picture , so u sync "A" picture to "Google Photos"

So if u del "A" picture from your PHONE album , it wont del the "A" picture from Google Photos , because the "A" picture was uploaded to the CLOUD , and it will follow to sync to your family Google Photos Apps Phone , tablet , PC

If u wan to let "A" picture to disappear from their device , then u have to del "A" picture from Google Photos apps , which mean del the "A" from Cloud , only the "A" picture will disappear from your family device.



Now i know u confusing that , u expect u just del the "A" photo from your own iphone device inside your iphone photo album , then the "A" picture will follow disappear from your other family device right? That is not a cloud suppose to be work hehe. So u must del from Google Photos , only the "A" picture will del from CLOUD and disappear from your family device.


Ok so my advice is , after your phone auto-sync to the Googles Photo right , then u treat Google Photos as your Photo Album , u can directly del the photo u dont want from Google Photos apps , it will also help u del from your iphone Photo Album.



Take Note : Del photo from Phone wont del the photo from Google Photos cloud , but if u del the photo from Google Photos , it will help u to del the photo on ur phone album. OR if u del the photo directly from Google photo accidently , u can go to the "TRASH" to recover the photo anytime in the Google Photos app , then it will appear back to your Phone , need a little bit time to figure out but trust me once u figure out , its so powerful.

Dunno bro cos I use my 16e just for bank apps & scan duitnow QR code only to make payments.

On Android the only Google apps I used a lot is keep notes, maps, lens, news, Gmail only.

actually, Android and IOS cannot be comparable la. Because they got their own OS and ecosystem, if you want to use google service in IOS. Of course it is support but their app mainly prioritize on Android OS instead of IOS. So if you want to use iPhone, what they encourage you is use back their app/ services.

Likewise, Android also won't use ios app/services.

For UI, android is way ahead of IOS. I not sure Apple is it purposely one, they not in the lead anymore since Steve Jobs passed away.

The only good about IOS is their security compare with Android, you won't able to download any App without going thru App store (unless jailbroken). Even there's a link with a virus, less likely it will download into your iphone (there is still a chance, but compare with Android you know I know la if you got use both OS before).

Last time got news is about the App that install virus on IOS, due to the dev sell the app to the hacker and they included the virus from the new update (prolly Apple already fix this issue and will check on the security measurement on any new update from the dev)

I can only tell you ios getting better but not ahead of Android, if you want new tech. Apple is not for you.

Apple = stable and safer (constant update for a peace of mind, at least 5 years)
Android = alot of new technology, take it or leave it.
That's why people prefer Apple for their elderly

It is OS weakness, do you think that every old ppl understand the consequences of side loading an app? Can u monitor your parents 24/7 what are they doing with their phone? So the logic is if old ppl does not know the consequences of side loading an app or does not understand how android works, their hard earned money deserve to get stolen? If an OS with no backdoor or providing any chance for side loading apps, it will be much safer.

Well said but Android users will appreciate this feature. I used to sideload apps too when I was with Android but now I only download from Google Play for my spare Android phone.

iphone should be the brainless to any users who are not IT-savvy to have the greatest security for phone with no alternative choice at all.

Oh gosh already open underwear show u in front of you have the river , do u want to jump? and u choose the answer "YES i want to jump" and u blame others?

My parent even my eldest relative that been using android phone for over decade also never been hacked in their life , SCAM and HACK is totally different thing , and for eldest , actually they dont really know how to "INSTALL" an apps even from Google Play Store , they actually need young to help out if they want to install like Tiktok , XHS , or to setup their phone , once the phone was setup nicely , any apps needed to install they will just request you to do instead of doing themself , because they not even know "Google Play Store" seriously. And educate them not to simply open link from SMS / EMAIL / Whatsapp , if some security prompt out , just decline it or screenshot it to show US , that is more to USER ALERT than the phone itself.

Alot of RED people that using iphone over the IG , facebook that get hacked due to too trust the iphone security that they just simply open any email link , prompt to 3rd party webpages , asking u to reset your account because security problem , they fill-in the username , passwd and some security code , bomb their account been hijacked , so in short , it's not "HACKED" , should be named SCAM or Hijacked , so should he/she blame on iOS because for not secure he/she social media account?


As long as u Apps are from Google Play store , App Store , then should have peace of mind and good to go. Really men, Stop argue about both OS security issues , there will be no issues because it's always the User Error problem.

But aside from myself, there are alot of other ppl can “educate” them as well for side loading, be it during tea time or any other unknown event with unknown ppl. So u control your parents movement as well? Or u join them during their each tea time?

Dont say your parent lo , even my kid 7 year old also wont simply give ppl their ipad or phone to unknown ppl loh , haiyo.....
