i tried these 2 already. plunger i already have. Mr Muscle i regret buying since cannot fix and wasted RM9-10-11 when snake RM21 kautim everything. u think i really want to spend RM21 if plunger + liquid solve the issue?

Check the bottle trap first. Just take a pail put under the bottle and unscrew it. After long time of usage the organic will clump together. Put declog only going to the surface.

declogger liquid or baking soda unlikely to work on those hardened stuff (already hardened over the years from your food waste) in the pipes.

I managed to get things going. I plunged for quite a while. Poured some powder stuff in there too.

got some powder selling at shopee... pour in wait few minute then flash water.settle... if not settle pun only few linggit jer

My plumber advised against chemical. Health hazzard one thing. Another u could be fucking things up further down the line creatung more issues. Not all piping can tahan those chemical.

Also dont get indon newbie plumber, they will just jolok and use plunger force the fuck out of everything without checking root cause. Most of the time they got no plubming knowledge, their best trait is willing to go dirty do stuff for u. Dont expect them to provide professional advice.

U really need to get ur hand dirty if u want to save $$$. I wouldnt bother with this and spend rm300. The amount is not big, even if u minimum wages also its like 1/5 ur salary. Thats why very important to save up emergency fund. Dont go YOLO BNPL evrything. Just make sure u hired proper plumber.

hot water 60-70deg down the drain, not boiling as it might damage the pipes. they will melt any fatberg in the pipes.
vinegar sometimes can help, but chemical is better as it is stronger can disolve the hair and gunk better.

drain snake is good, no jolok with thick plunger as sometimes the excessive force can cause damage.

if got baby wipes, hair and oil stuck long way down the pipes, only plumber can help. last time got relative come and stay a few days, after they cabut few weeks later got blockage in pipes and toilet as well. Tried all but not working. Seems like something outside the house got clogged, plumber say wet wipes, show photo of the gunk as proof. conclusion someone in that group must have flush wipes down the toilet since got toddler.

buy the solution from the hardware store, one bottle I think around RM25-30

Alternative to Mr Muscle which is quite exp.

Get this and unclog it every month. Make sure to use warm to hot water. It works very well for me.

If still flowing even a little, get that enzyme thing at diy. very cheap and it works.

if completely blocked then no choice, need to use snake.

declogger liquid clears up blockage inside the pipe, but that's also assuming the clog is not severe.
The bottle trap catches debris to ensure it does not go down the drain pipe. When your sink clogged, the first and easiest troubleshooting you do is to open up the bottle trap and pour away the content, then clean out any object that is stuck inside.
All you need is a bucket and glove. Just turn the slip nut and remove the bottle.

Even if you don't pour cooking oil, it can accumulate in the pipes from normal washing and become a plug.
Pouring a drain unclogger is the usual thing to do, or use lye (soda panas). Have to follow the instructions carefully, usually its to pour it in and wait 5-15mins and then follow up with hot water. The water mustn't be too hot because the usual pvc pipes are not rated for temps above 60C. Depending on how your pipes are done, you may need a long hose to pour the unclogger/lye solution so that it doesn't just sit in the wrong place and may potentially cause leaks.

Using a drain plunger carefully if you're in an apartment because the pressure might cause leaks downstairs. Don't use a high pressure air drain gun or drain blaster type devices, it caused the access cap downstairs to break and dump water when my plumber did it.
