This evening, suddenly found the water in the kitchen sink flowing very, very slowly. I contacted a few plumbers and sent video, they quote between rm250 to rm380 if it is a simple and straightforward issue.

Before I get there, anything that I can try?

I’ve never faced this issue before.

I’m considering getting a plunger and some Mr Muscle declogger liquid (not sure how safe and useful is this). Worth a shot? Anything else that can be tried?

We don’t knowingly pour down cooking oil or things like that down the sink. But it’s been 5+ years, not surprised it can get clogged from normal everyday use.

By the way, to add, I believe the clog is near the surface. Cause even after letting the water fully recede and waiting for an hour, just turning the tap on for 5 seconds results in the water clog being visible coming out of the sink hole.
