One thing I know working with China maincon, they will cheat you all the time. U not around? Go makan? They fabricate the piling record and say finish pile set d padahal just few meters in ground. You random check the steel? Good luck. They sure got missing steel wan. Suddenly one out of 10 pieces steel will smaller size. You buy steel from China? You go there see all nice they test for you all meet criteria, come Malaysia? All lapsap steel.

Worst case is u order an equipment with ABCD spec, they suddenly C no stock, they give you interior quality one, then keep quiet, u tak jumpa they untung, u jumpa they tell you no stock, u dowan then need wait lol

If consider as work day then 20 days cheaper. cheaper but quality shit.

End up will fork out more money to repair. Same je la..

FYI, all people are cheapskate..
*
You said even with 2 months, quality still shit

So, might as well go for 20 days since both also need to fork money to repair

Shorter days mean you save more for repairs later laugh.gif

Once upon a time kena send to CCP land as trainer (coz no other senior would want to go there).
Muntah darah.
Whatever Jepunis trained me, I trained them with all the knowledge I received from Jpn HQ.
The supervisor have the audacity to say if Japanese customer reject the quality, just send back to factory.... doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif
Next....karma......
Japan HQ closed the China factory in next 10 years (eventhough the cost is the cheapest among wholewide factories)

Actually I do find local renovation contractors supper arrogant here. Renovation not big enough , don't want to do. Some take like 10 jobs and took 1.5 years to complete a 2 month renovation.

I actually would like to see more competition in this space.

looked thru fb comment from the Wob post :

-Some say want that contractor cause local suck ass

-Some say if finish in 20 days, become thailand quality, can collapse easily ?

-Some say if u want electrician work, ask local, dont ask china

-Some say better ask them work cause if u ask local, they take break, many excuses , mostly the banga , indo

-Some say where u can see boss do all the hardwork, no cement smell pun, just see photo and ask payment, drive in vellfire all the time

-Photography industry defeated, renovation industry invading, next ?

how fast can you work? realistically.

For tiling work, you need to first hack off all tiles
Then, you need to do screeding first
Then actual tiling works
Then touch up a bit and cleaning.

That's one week without waiting for delivery of relevant material and payment etc.

If wanna do house extensions, you need to do proper formwork and concreting.
dig up some soil, do ground beam first etc. that's at least 30 days because that 30 day is to wait for concrete to sufficiently harden before you remove formwork from roof structures.

Then, you can do brickwork, plastering, painting, lay electrical cable, windows etc. which is another 30 days

Yes, it is now very difficult to find people to do these jobs, and when you do get them, really tarik harga. Especially plumbing and roof work. More competition is good.

Because many locals do not want to do hard labour job. It's given. There may be new entrepreneurs in this field but fact remains that labour or helping hands are hard to come by.

lol lu ini machiam punya schedule susah mau cari makan.

Then, you need to do screeding first (1 day)
Then actual tiling works (1 day)
Then touch up a bit and cleaning. (leave for last)

3 days job lu sandbag sampai 1 minggu. how la liddat?

30 days depends on what you are doing. Flooring or non load bearing structures do not need that long. And these guys will usually go do other things while waiting, do you honestly expect them to sit there and stare at the concrete waiting for it to dry?

nahhhhhhhhh
you paid monkey fee then monkey do la
Malaysian kan suka find lower price contractor to do their project including renovation?

I engaged Signature Kitchen, they install my whole house in 2-3 days including kitchen, wardrobe, tv cabinets.

Mind you and it's low-formaldehyde.

Premium a bit but everything are so flawless.

Kan Malaysian suka tekan price, then complain for the workmanship? ptui.

budget 1 week, kerja 3 days ok lo....

but if someone say kerja require 60 days, you complete in 30 days.
what's the catch?

things like waiting for paint to dry cannot speed up by adding people or working 24 hours.
most of the time, contractor give long timeline because they're juggling between contracts and manpower, not because it takes 2 months to finish a 2 day job.

Your staff are not temp workers that you fire as soon as job finish.
got job or not, your staff have to be fed continuously

I retile all my tiles condo last year, including bathrooms.
It actually took one week to completed all

The question here are the systematic of the main con, if budget low, they only assigned 2 banggala and that's what you get within 30days.
