the only thing i can think of to justify bandwidth beyond 100Mbps for average residential use is if you have multiple CCTVs constantly send superhigh bitrate video to the cloud. even if you live with 2-3 people, 100M is sufficient.
If you don't, then high change your smart appliances are excessively phoning HQ, send data, etc.
I used to subscribed to 800 mbps Celcom WiFi package.
Previously, I subscribed to 300 mbps package.
However, I don't see any difference at all. Gaming, stream porn, Youtube, Tiktok, live stream all can be done over 300 mbps and it is smooth.
Anyone regretted subscribing to 500 or 800 package where 300 mbps can do the job?
I downgrade from 800 to 500 then to 300 now on 100 mbps.I realized that my house dont need 800 mbps to fully functioned, all I need is a good router to handle the traffics. we watch 4K streaming most of the time by the way, once in a while /t/ other than that, well...
like I said before
many ppl very kiamsiap when it comes to good router but can pay expensive monthly subscription for the internet
this, I cannot brain.
it is like paying ron 100 for kancil 660
those telco supplied router are just plain sucks
get the mid tier router from asus, tp-link is better, bigger ram that can handle bigger traffic, better soc. yes bandwidth is way more important than the latest router available in the market
Most of the time I think many subscribers suffer these in silent, but dont know what to do
random disconnects unstable connections
some of them dont even know their own user id and password, dunno how to access the url, how to change the pwd, how to change router
no thanks to telco that keep giving free sampah router which will degrade fast within a year ngam ngam warranty finish.
why cant they sell better router like what they do with hp? educate lah your subscribers. real pndk these telco. unifi, maxis, time , all the same. real hkc.

30mbps feels like dial up to me now. Just to download a small 50GB game would take hours.
you really sound like you never live in dial-up era. even on adsl era, you still need to wait hour to download an episode of anime or tv show. no one downloading cd size game during dial up era (thats the reason why pirated game shop thrive during that era). even pokemon gold/silver rom will take more than 10minutes.
Even pay extra RM10 to get 500mbps, totally unstable and speed most of the time less than my previous 300mbps.
Maxis don't want to change the router also. And the top router also lousy one. Dunno how many years already.
