QUOTE(thuwed1732 @ May 28 2025, 09:12 AM) yes you can retire anytime. from employee perspective you're free to retire at any age you want. but from employer perspective, raising retirement age to 65 means they cannot simply just let you go before 65 y/o if it is a permanent employment position. if they do so you can sue them for compensation.govt retirement at 50, you can get pension if you have already served X number of years, but there is a detailed calculation on how much you get, it scales according to your years of service |

QUOTE(david5343 @ May 28 2025, 09:32 AM) If I'm not mistaken, EPF already moved 50% of their funds from oversea investment into local GLC as instructed by PMX since September 2024 Oh already at 63%I think less than 5% this year SOS |

QUOTE(kopitiamtardx @ May 28 2025, 12:50 AM) Seems like there is a connection: Last time PH politicians or their macai spread already bankrupted. Still around?1) High dividend for 2024 2) More people are investing voluntarily into the fund 3) Increase the retirement age So we can only withdraw after 65 years old?? |

QUOTE(Sone Shin @ May 28 2025, 08:23 AM) QUOTE(lee82gx @ May 28 2025, 08:26 AM) It’s already mandated to be increase by 100k per year starting next year to 2028, by then will be minimum 1.3m for withdrawal. QUOTE(cempedaklife @ May 28 2025, 09:17 AM) QUOTE(kkkw80 @ May 28 2025, 10:13 AM) QUOTE(vince316 @ May 28 2025, 10:36 AM) I think its been increased this year ownwards or so. Ok thenI read somewhere its going to be 1.1 and then probably looking at 1.3. Fark govt for raising it. Pundeak betui. For slightly higher interest (6.30%) than FD rate (3.7-3.8%) better park my fund in dividend stocks or somewhere else This post has been edited by JustForCheonging: May 28 2025, 11:13 AM adamw liked this post

EPF is unlikely in trouble but many of its members couldn't afford to retire.

QUOTE(jay @ May 28 2025, 08:54 AM) EPF wont be in trouble but will scam all malaysian money by implement changes when u old, similar to sg CPF cant withdraw all CPF life i think quite good also but one thing is that bank need to allow senior like >55 to get loan etc. as long got "CPF life" to consider as part of the income. |
