EPF will be in trouble if there are less contributors as opposed to withdrawals. Possible?

Do you know PMX is best finance minister before? He's also well regarded by World Bank and IMF.

This country and EPF are in safe hands.

Seems like there is a connection:

1) High dividend for 2024
2) More people are investing voluntarily into the fund
3) Increase the retirement age

So we can only withdraw after 65 years old??

Just diversify away into US treasury bond and hold till maturity

20years US treasury bond is 5% now

Why waste time with changing goalposts & dividend uncertainties?

I think EPF will implement monthly or yearly withdrawal after 55 instead of one time all witdrawal.

It's expectable retirement age will be expend, during the time retirement age of 55 is set, the average lifespan worldwide isn't that long, it's foreseeable the retirement fund will not be enough if still following the old logic.
I came across a news from US few days back, that's a robbery committed by a granny which is 78 y/o because her retirement fund finished.

Weirdly, EPF is behaving a lot like an insurance firm in how it keeps trying to get me to justify my large medical expenses and hinting that I should try and ask Socso instead for money.
It’s kind of surprising she didn’t try going through SOCSO, especially since it’s meant to help with work-related injuries and health issues. EPF is really more for retirement; not for covering medical costs. If she’s been contributing to SOCSO, she might actually qualify for benefits, maybe even a medical pension, depending on her condition. That’s exactly what SOCSO is there for.

I actually know a few people who went that route and ended up getting medical pensions. Sure, it takes some paperwork and follow-ups, but it’s a legit option that’s really worth looking into.

Now they’re getting both their EPF and monthly medical pension — the best of both worlds.
