i think only america have law to honor warranty claim eventhough not service with dealer, but still need to provide black and white to see if the car were serviced with the correct oil, service within its recommended millage frequency.

SC actually have a few options on hand for customer like you to choose, BUT the farking SA (and SCmgmt in general) has a sales target to achieve. How to achieve the sale target？ Well, just push for the most expensive (read: fully synthetic oil) and unnecessary options (read: wiper fluid, fuel injection cleaner, engine oil treatment etc etc) to jack up the grand total of the final bill

Your mission if you choose to accept it : To kick out those unwanted/unnecessary items out of the work order before the work commence.

I think SG also implement it too but to get warranty honored, you must have proved that your car is serviced according to the manual requirement. I remember a customer won a warranty case which the car was service at third party workshop, in SG if I don't get mixed up.

not only service, any physical addition or replacement will void warranty too..some will void your insurance claim too
so within warranty, most owners go back to authorized centers… don’t forget to chop your handbook and keep an invoice for all work done

don't go dealer owned service center. they always add in this and that which is not necessary, and they just wanna boost their sales.
They also change everything faster than the recommended period.

The worst victims are EV car owners. Hardly anything to replace or service since all electronics, yet you are forced to do service intervals where they charge you hundreds for just updating your firmware. Failure to send for service will void warranty...

sc should pay to conduct this report in case they feel suspicious, they should honour the warranty for buyer, innocence until proven guilty
just proceed warranty process if dont want pay for the investigation, and not just simply accusing oh because he/she not follow maintenance schedule or this modification 'might' damaging the parts

u buy from perodua or any brand you need to do the service at their 4s, 3s, or authorised service centers usually stated in their owners manual.
if you don't your warranty is avoid, you can give excuse and skip 1 or 2 service but to maintain your warranty after that u need to go back to service with them.
usually with the caveat of a full service and check-up.

yes when u wan claim warranty, they will ask for ur service booklet... if ur service tak cantik (didnt service when mileage reach) or didnt service at sc, they can reject ur claim.. they can say is outside workshop spoil the car, not the car problem... then can even say because u didnt use genuine engine oil from the sc, thus car break down.. this will be chicken n egg story... i oledi asked at sc, even u wan do radio wiring at outside within warranty period, whole warranty for radio all void...

Their expert can say it's your fake oil. It cost them nothing to say that.

So now you have to spend money to prove it is not your fake oil. Too much trouble. That is why I just stick to SC and only do engine oil change out of warranty.
