QUOTE(piscesguy @ May 24 2025, 02:23 PM) 400 nits isn’t enough. Me and bacon just saying it for what it is.You can walk into sengheng, go over to the oled tv section and see the hdr there. Or go switch, find an iPhone 16 pro and open the photo app and swipe brightness up. |

yes you can get FHD 24" 120Hz monitors at that price nowadays
Well tbh I think for normal use also 100Hz is more than enough I had a 24" 165Hz monitor 1080P monitor, now I changed to 27" 100Hz 2K monitor, then I bring the 24" monitor to my workplace. 24" @ 1080P is the minimum requirement for a comfortable working screen space imo. QUOTE(Brotherjoe @ May 24 2025, 08:58 AM) acer failure rate also high right? coz last time i bought a acer monitor. It kaput before reaching 2years old. screen melt and got some very bad chemical smell. I think Acer is ok.I notice that my 2 HP monitors seem like long lasting. 1 already 7 years still kicking, the other 10years old already. Dell monitor at 3.5 years start having horizontal line issue. my previous monitor was acer. plugged into a wall plug for 4 years now that only now I realized has sub-optimal grounding. Which explains why every time there's thunder my monitor likes to turn off for a bit and then turn back on. it still works fine but I now notice a bit of white-blue light bleed at the edges. |

QUOTE(anakkk @ May 25 2025, 12:10 PM) I found out that Mac OS works very well with Dell Monitors, in term of colour, contrast and dynamic range. There's no need to do any calibration and everything just looks exactly like MacBook setting. My main OS is Mac, so naturally I have to use Dell as my main monitor. |

QUOTE(cms @ May 25 2025, 01:17 PM) When comparing the contrast ratios of the AOC 24G4 and the MSI PRO MP251 E2 monitors, the MSI PRO MP251 E2 offers a higher static contrast ratio of 1500:1, compared to the AOC 24G4's typical contrast ratio of 1000:1. This means the MSI monitor can display deeper blacks and brighter whites, providing more vivid images, which is beneficial for tasks like photo editing or watching movies.([Display Specifications][1])However, the AOC 24G4 is designed with gaming in mind, featuring a higher refresh rate of 180Hz and a faster response time of 0.5ms (MPRT), compared to the MSI's 120Hz refresh rate and 1ms (MPRT) response time. This makes the AOC monitor more suitable for fast-paced gaming scenarios.([AOC][2]) Both monitors use IPS panels, offering wide viewing angles and good color reproduction. The MSI PRO MP251 E2 covers 99% of the sRGB color gamut, while the AOC 24G4 covers 126% of sRGB, indicating more vibrant colors.([MSI][3]) In summary, if your priority is higher contrast for better image depth, the MSI PRO MP251 E2 is the better choice. If you prioritize higher refresh rates and faster response times for gaming, the AOC 24G4 would be more suitable.([Display Specifications][1], [AOC][2]) |
