1st batch SUV EV owner already sold Omoda , Neeta X 500 , Atto 3 . can get low below RM 90k
meanwhile new EV cant sold below RM 100k . but secondhand EV can sold below RM 90k Omoda E5 got 8 years warranty / 160,000km Neeta X 500 got 5 years warranty / 150,000km byd atto 3 got 6 years warranty / 150,000km
Just overpriced in the beginning lmao putting on so much margin taking advantage of the tax free to make more money instead of really pricing competitively to push adoption
Half baked govt policy that caused this

EU die leow lar! This is the way you can sell below the minimum pricing non-tariff barrier. Sell new EV at >RM100k to carrot head first, then help them sell below RM100k for 2nd hand via distributor/manufacturer subsidy when they upgrade to a new >RM100k EV car.

When oil price go sky high & petrol depleted. You will change to EV anyway.. all petrol car will become antique in 15 years time from now.
Oil will never be depleted in the way you think it is going to happen. Its just a scam to make you think oil is a scarce commodity and keep the prices higher than what its worth.
Anyways, EVs will replace ice for sure but it’s not because of the end of oil. It’s just a natural progression. Like how we moved away from coal trains to electric trains. Coal is still there but its just not used as much anymore.

Take this listing with a pinch of salt. Second hand car dealers are known to list ridiculous prices but when you actually go there to buy, they’ll mark up by about 20%

When new car price slash down, logically used car sure drop as well, year 2023 atto 3 selling at RM167k, now new car baru sell RM120k.
BMW IX2 price is even worse, new car RM297k launch at year 2024, now after one year i saw got people selling at RM190k, that is like 1/3 depreciation rate.

RV for all cars are entering into uncharted territories la dei.. Influx of supply from China (cheap cars), with long warranties and competitive packages, good luck to all legacy car makers to maintain their selling price, and second hand car RV.
EV manufacturers dont care. They just want to offload their excess stocks which is pilling up in their yards.
Yes they can give massive discounts for it and when the losses are too heavy and stocks can't be offloaded anymore, they will just simply exit the market. Most of them are new brands and unheard off. They can just close the company and open another new one later one will new offerings if they still have the capability to do so.
this is secondhand dealer price.... when dealer makan from the owner...i believe the value lost more than that....
To be frank with you, most of these used units of EVs are the manufacturers own used units, preregisterd units (to meet targets), test drive units, company staff use units being sold by their own authorized dealers. Outside car dealers like us rarely can get EVs traded in because customers usually cannot bear / cope with the on paper losses. For Chinese cars and EVs, most of the loan amounts are higher than the trade in value so many customers have to top up to sell their cars and hence very hard to deal.

EV is the future. Powered with electric motor enables precision handling by software for auto driving. Analog ICE, H2 engine is harder to control, compared to ready to use energy from battery.

China is China. This is Malaysia. And we are discussing about Malaysians in this thread.
China car sales is about world market 30-35%, if one cannot survive at China, what make u think they can survive in Malaysia? U think Malaysia consumer so stupid? Even MG can sell well a Thailand but struggle at Malaysia market.

Much cheaper than spend 100K for an EV car.

EVs maintenance very, very low lah and nothing much to repair also whereas ICEs now and then will give you a huge repair bill because it has too many moving parts, far costlier than whatever fuel subsidy savings.

Although there is a gap, he can also accept the possible deviation between the experimental data and the measured data. In the past two years, the car's endurance has declined year by year. "Now it can only run about 220 kilometers on the highway and about 280 kilometers on urban roads." Mr. Xia said that when he bought the car, the salesperson said that the vehicle could be replaced for free if it was 100,000 kilometers or more than 6 years old. Since the car has run more than 120,000 kilometers, he came to the BYD 4S store, hoping to replace the battery for free. But the 4S store reported: After inspection by the factory, the battery data is normal and will not be replaced. What confuses Mr. Xia is that everything is "the final say" of the other party. How much has the battery decayed, and to what extent will it be replaced? The 4S store has no clear answer. "Moreover, I asked for a battery test report, but was rejected."
Mr. Zhou, a citizen, had a similar experience. Mr. Zhou also has a BYD "Yuan" pure electric car, which was purchased in December 2020. Now, the vehicle's mileage has reached more than 120,000 kilometers, and its endurance has dropped significantly. "I drive about 160 kilometers to and from get off work. If I turn around at noon, I will encounter the problem of insufficient power. Now I can only drive about 200 kilometers." He called the BYD customer service hotline and then went to a BYD 4S store for battery testing. The store replied: There is no problem with the test results and it can continue to be used. "I have never been able to get a specific written test report." Mr. Zhou believes that according to the "BYD Auto Three Guarantees Certificate and Maintenance Service Manual", during the three-guarantee validity period of 2 years or 50,000 kilometers, the capacity attenuation limit of lithium iron phosphate batteries/ternary batteries is 15%, and the attenuation limit of 6 years or 150,000 kilometers is 25%. "My car has reached the battery replacement standard." The 4S store replied to the reporter that the battery attenuation data currently detected is less than 25%. .... https://www.chinanews.com.cn/sh/2024/04-17/10200374.shtml - - Many BYD car owners question whether the "lifetime warranty" service for car batteries is not worthy of its name - 17 April 2024
280km/370km = 24% battery degradation after about 3 years = about 8% degradation per year.
P S - Tesla EV batteries are oversized by about 20%, in order to satisfy US government regulations of 8 years of warranty or about 150,000km mileage. ....... BYD EV car batteries are probably oversized by only 10% = in the 1st year of usage, <2% battery degradation, but thereafter a substantial rise in battery degradation of >5% per year. .
. What about over there in Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, USA, Canada, the EU, etc, ie they got penalize ICE-V car buyers and reward EV car buyers maciam in CCP Chainah.? .

fuel no subsidy in thailand and by helping ev they import less oil means less money and more money for other things
good thing or not up to a country to decide
. What about(ism) fuel subsidy in Indonesia, Brunei, Saudi Arabia, IKuwait, Iran, Venezuela, etc, major crude oil producers like Malaysia. .
. In CCP China, BYD seldom honor the above EV warranties by giving all kinds of excuses to the car owners. Sue BYD in court also no use bc to CCP, BYD is "anak saya baik orang nya". Maybe not in Malaysia because CCP China would "no face". .

Really ah so why didn't sue them until bankrupt yet?
battery degradation is depends on charging source. If you every day charge outside with quick DC charger battery sire die faster. Charge at home with 11kwh or lower charger.

. This is already common knowledge among EV car drivers in CCP China, eg public fast charging fees are often cheaper than slow charging due to much lower demand for fast charging. .

. Fyi, ie courts in CCP China mostly do not rely on evidence but on CCP's political agenda, eg to dominate the global car market by hook or by crook with CCP China subsidized EV cars, eg BYD, .......
User: Does the CCP China government control the courts?
Gemini AI Overview
Yes, the CCP exercises significant control over China's courts. This control is exerted through various mechanisms, including the CCP's Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission, which effectively oversees the judicial system.
Here's a more detailed breakdown: - Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission (PLA): This commission is the CCP's main body for overseeing legal and judicial affairs, ensuring the judiciary operates in accordance with the CCP's political agenda. - Supreme People's Court (SPC): As the highest court, the SPC is subject to the control of the PLA, making it a key element in the CCP's judicial oversight. - CCP Member Judges: Judges who are also members of the CCP are required to adhere to party discipline, prioritizing the CCP's interests and orders over legal considerations. - Party Dominance: The CCP dominates the decision-making process in legal matters, including personnel appointments in all legal institutions, ensuring the CCP's influence throughout the judicial system. - Political Loyalty: Judges are expected to prioritize political loyalty over other considerations, potentially compromising their impartiality. - Use of Law for Suppression: The CCP uses the legal system to suppress dissent and control citizens, targeting individuals who challenge the government's authority. - Vague Charges: Individuals are often arrested and detained on vague charges, without access to legal counsel or communication with their families, further reinforcing the CCP's control. .

The term "leek" (éŸèœ) used in China in relation to EV car buyers is a colloquial term used to describe someone who is perceived as being easily manipulated or taken advantage of, much like how leeks are a food crop that can be easily grown and harvested. In the context of the EV market, it often refers to early adopters who may have paid more for a product, or who may be perceived as being easily swayed by marketing or trends, rather than being informed and strategic consumers. .
