After retirement age, the employee can continue on contract anyway if both parties agree to it.

Note that if Full EPF Withdrawal at 55 yo is also raised to 60 yo or 65 yo = more RM billions of EPF money for the Federal government to "play" with.

I wanted to open this topic today, then this news came out. Just nice.

We really need to raise retirement age to 63 cos many of our ppl need jobs n many continue to find jobs to work. I see many of my workers n colleagues retired, very bored, and we keep engaging them to come back for our audits n projects.

What do u think?

Fyi, .......

Gemini AI Overview

The average lifespan for men in Malaysia is around 73 years. Specifically, a baby boy born in 2024 is expected to live to 73.0 years, according to DOSM. Malaysian women, on average, have a longer lifespan, with an average of 77.8 years, according to DOSM. (Department of Statistics Malaysia)

= if retire at 65 yo, average is only 8 more years till you die.

Scientists are now speculating that the first person to live to 150 years may already be among us.1 But where might this future supercentenarian call home? What unique factors could contribute to their remarkable longevity?

To tackle these questions, Medtronic, the global leader in healthcare technology, joined forces with Sperling’s BestPlaces, a leading research firm known for its livability rankings, to pinpoint the 10 U.S. places most likely to nurture the next person to defy the limits of age. The findings? Prepare to be surprised.

The top ten metros where the first person who could reach 150 may live are:

#1: Washington, D.C.
#2: San Francisco, Calif.
#3: Bridgeport, Conn.
#4: Boston, Mass.
#5: Seattle, Wash.
#6: Madison, Wis.
#7: Honolulu, Hawaii
#8: Portland, Ore.
#9: Denver, Colo.
#10: Raleigh, N.C.

This is the reason why a lot of people refuse to pump more money inside EPF. Sure, the dividend is good.

But you have no idea for the next 20-30 years what kind of shitty things the government will do.

Most of the uncle uncle here can talk big because they are near to their retirement age.

So they have no problem of keep pumping money inside there.

For me, I don't trust the gov and I don't trust the EPF.

Btw, I disagree increase retirement age to 65 years old.

We don't need to follow USA route where they can withdraw their full social security benefit at 67 years old.

A lot of people that retired after 1 year from 67 years old banyak yang mati. Dapat merasa guna duit setahun je
