Malaysian office environment is being set up to be toxic in the first place.

The boss and manager prefers to promote those that are friendly and lick their ass instead of those that put effort into work.

Then there is the whole taichi backstabbing culture in order to ass lick the boss or manager that drives people that are genuinely there to work away.

I'm not surprised at all. Joined 6 companies n 5 of them were toxic haha. Seriously la.. Companies should stop making their staff to cover 2 or 3 ppl's workload just to save costs. The staff will eventually leave due to burnout n then the company will need to hire new staff n train them which is a waste of time.

My colleague from a different department's boss is really toxic. But when I heard my colleague's rant about that boss, I felt like, "Ehhh, I think it is my colleague that is the strawberry." However, another staff member in the same department confirmed that the boss is really toxic.

My team 12 members, 10 women and 2 men. after my resignation left 10 women 1man, im not sure they fill up my pos with woman or man. once i also heard my director openly say for Gen Y and Gen Z, women are more intelligent than Men, Men are becoming weaker (or less pandai). Maybe that's the reason why he keep hiring women, mayeb he is right, or he just gender discrimination.

this is pharmaceutical commercial excellence department. not like face make up department you know. you go to the office , it is like 70% women, this is not loreal office.

I got one ex-staff that was disliked by almost everyone in office. He was rude and offensive, also a closet ghey who did "things" in the toilet and work area with another male workmate when no one was around.

When he was caught doing things behind company's back, he blamed everyone but himself, and resigned soon after. The staffs literally toasted his departure (YAM SENG) when told about him leaving.

So, 59% because of toxic workplace? More like because of own being toxic.

based on my experience being with 6 employers so far, i left just because of 1 reason, bad management.

Out of the 6, only 1 is toxic. That was the time i sworn never work for local companies ever again.

Work culture, work environment used to be good with the previous leadership.

Nowadays full with clowns. Promoted someone become higher manager that has nothing but "tin kosong". No proper work flow and procedure under the new manager.

Other manager atttude "Ibarat Lembu Dicucuk Hidung".

So many staffs at my place are leaving because they saw how extremely toxic, stupid with the current leadership.

Most of the staffs that are leaving already with company for 5 years and above. Most of them are seniors.

Yeah I agree that MNC can be pretty toxic too. The one that I joined, their HR just blatantly ignored all the bullying that was happening at the workplace 🤦🏻‍♀️ It does make me wonder if companies would still continue being toxic when Gen Z start becoming bosses themselves

I agreed. My ex-company people are very nice and friendly. But after working 3 years without salary increment and bonus, but workload pulak semakin tambah, i had no choice but jop hop. My other senior colleague lagi kesian. Throughout his 5 years there, his juniors would keep resigning one after another that he ended up had to do both the junior's work and his senior work most of the time. Really pity him. Each time, would see him with a new junior at lunch, coaching him on the work, then in the next 3 months, that junior would be gone, and he would then go lunch with another new junior and redo the coaching. In the end, that senior became really expert in coaching others and his training manual is one of the most detailed version I've ever seen in the company.
