Which setting you changed ?

Just use the setup wizard. Make sure you have the GPON credentials. I asked this from Unifi installer.

Oh yeah, I checked with their CS
They told me if you jumped from another ISP, they'll give 6 months free
Also, previously they insisted I can't sub to them when I'm already using another ISP. However, the rep highlighted it is because they're worried about the limited fibre trunking available (condo). Told them my property is landed, he said can go ahead and register.

Public IP needs to pay extra, however it is only a one off RM100 payment

Should be interesting, I'll keep Unifi for 6 months
Probably upgrade my hardware to take advantage of the combine 1.5G bandwidth lol

My 1gbps plan usually gives me about 930-940mbps during speed test. Recently, I started to get better test result around 1gpbs to 1.1gbps. However, it lasted only a week and now I am back to the old 930 ish. Anyone has similar experience? The test was done on wired network with 2.5G ethernet.

Test done using wired or wireless?

There is no consumer grade router can reach 1Gbs for WiFi. Even at straight line WiFi, my max is 920Mpbs only.

Ethernet wired can easily 1.1G for sure…

Possible with wifi 7

Actually a newer WiFi 6 device can do 1200Mbps easily on 5GHz / 160MHz channel width

WiFi 6E device like iPhone 15 Pro can do 1500Mbps over 6GHz 160Mhz
*
Maybe I always at crowded area. WiFi 6 phy link 1200Mbps but actual wifi always lower.

6E with 6GHz will be much better. 6GHz pretty much good only with line of sight. AFC is not ready for use yet. I will plan to get 1 for my living room which is open space.

WiFi 6 phy link 1200Mbps means it's only 80MHz mode

160Mhz mode should be 2402Mbps PHY link speed

AFC will probably never ever come to Malaysia
160MHz with 5GHz wifi 6, is a no go. I think wifi 7 6GHz with 160MHz will better. As I understand AFC should help with the range like 5GHz but I guess slim chance here. Just hope wifi 7 core tech like MLO will work better.

That's because you are using a bad WiFi 6 router

A good one can do 1.5Gbps over 5GHz 160Mhz

AFC got nothing to do with 5GHz
*
My bad. I was referring to 6GHz. AFC supposed to help 6GHz to reach further like 5GHz.

I'm using Ubiquiti AP, which not built for speed like consumer router eg..Asus. The Skyworth onr can reach 1Gbps but Ubiquiti u6 pro cannot 😅

Perhaps only within straight line unobstructed at certain distance …I don’t have enuf wifi 7 device to justify the changes at the time being …even my m4 iPad Pro is not wifi 7. Have to
Wait..lolx

Not many clients can fully utilize wifi 7. I think wifi 6 still good enough for 2026 😄

Where to check if my 24months contract has ended? To get SWU 5.0, I just initiate termination and wait for tm to call me to counter offer? I read many pages of this topic already, dont flame me
*
If previously get free router, you can check when it was added in the Unifi app. This should give some indication.

based on screenshot, 500Mbps and rm69 mentioned.
if this is true then probably the cheapest 500Mbps plan already.
*
It's retail price 159 (500Mbps) then promo discount 69, so price is RM90.

You using it as router+wifi not bridge? If yes. better but better ones like Asus or others.

As for bridge mode, no issue for me.

Skyworth connected to Unifi Express 7.

If I remember correctly, we have the same model sk-g7220. I wonder what is the issue.

Just got the installation done, Skyworth GN630V, I reinstalled back my old setup ONU-Alcatel -> Mikrotik -> TP-link C1200(bridge mode/wifi transmitter).

It no longer work despite the techncian showing me the unifi user and pass still the same.

Mikrotik was set by my brother last time, the unifi login user and pass is here. The TP-link works as a wireless AP only.
*
which 1 not working? If Skyworth + Mikrotik. Maybe check that LAN cable is connected to LAN 1 instead of WAN (on skyworth)

QUOTE(joehann @ Nov 3 2025, 04:18 PM)
My contract has ended and I request for termination, 1 week later, sales person call me and offer SWU5.0 of 500mbps/RM90 but I opted for 500mbps/RM159 but speed will be 1gbps for 2 year and 6 month free bill. But today I got email from TM stated that my package has changed to 500mbps/RM90 instead of 1gbps/RM159. My account number has also change with the new one started with number 7

I call TM and they lodged the report but the funny thing is, that CS mentioned that the package is correct but the one creating the order "lupa" to give free upgrade to 1gbps but the RM90 price is correct. sohai la for SWU5.0 1gbps package is RM159 and I penat explain to him but he still insist that the order is correct but they lupa give 1gbps upgrade.

Anyone has faced the same issue as me? and manage to ask TM to changes the package correctly to SWU5.0 500mbps with 1gbps speed for 2 years?
*
My account number remain the same. Package name changed to

"Unifi Home 500Mbps staywithUnifi 5.0 (6MW)(Disney)"

1Gb plan got 6 months waiver. The RM 90 plan don't have waiver. It will be bonus if they give 1Gb at RM90 biggrin.gif
