what the difference with V1.0.0.4 ?
*
Sorry, I don't know. I personally don't have or use Skyworth GN630V. But v1.0.0.4 to v1.1.0.7 gap maybe fix many bugs. I made that screenshot from used GN630V manufactured batch date 10/2024 & have same date as v1.1.0.7 build so I think it was factory installed firmware.

Someone from tm elite crew gave me when I assisted my neighbor this morning. My neighbor's faulty RG was replaced with a new GN630V but with v1.0.0.4 firmware. I post the firmware version in case GN630V users request for firmware update & use it as proof.

Some person asking why not using KUL cloudflare, here is why...
[NextTrace API] preferred API IP - [2605:52c0:2:7f4:f0a9:7aff:fe0e:8b35] - 655.89ms - 🐠 (Relay) → Misaka.LAX
IP Geo Data Provider: LeoMoeAPI
traceroute to 2606:4700:3110::6812:318a, 30 hops max, 52 bytes payload, ICMP mode

2  2001:e68:402c:8001::ba    AS4788  马来西亚  双文丹  tm.com.my
                                      6.84 ms / 7.50 ms / 7.66 ms
3  2001:e68::b:4c            AS4788  马来西亚    tm.com.my
                                      10.84 ms / 10.59 ms / 10.02 ms

                                      90.16 ms / 89.37 ms / 89.20 ms

Second problem is, because too less people using KUL, it need to refetch data from oversea website(if you open those oversea website, it will be cache miss), which taken like 1-2 mins sometimes...
In this case, SG is much better, as more oversea users over there, cache hit rate higher. tongue.gif

Wow, packet loss at local server. rclxub.gif

Is it mean can't blame ISP routing or blame cloudflare routing also? Because network routing thing is 2 sides work.

QUOTE(kwss @ Aug 22 2025, 01:09 AM)
The biggest problem is congestion, not really "routing problem".
TM has way too many IX peering to faraway places. With big tech and cloud provider, 75-80% of traffic will be very CDN and edge heavy.

TM then had a problem where their connection to MyIX, Singapore got overloaded while many of their other faraway IX connection remains unused.

They then try to "load balance" them to all the other connection, effectively jacking up latency. Simple route that should just end up in Equinix SG will now traverse transit provider.

There's two way TM can fix this.
1. Follow Maxis footstep and cut the number of IX peering to minimum. This method does affect their CAIDA score.
2. Follow Singtel and be just private peer with everyone. Then throw money into having huge capacity, like multi Tbps local peering capacity. This way they can keep their CAIDA score high while avoiding congestion.

Now CAIDA score is just some ego ranking. It has no relevance whatsoever to user experience. However, it does indicate network diversity. What does that do to an eyeball network? Nothing. Lots of work for no real benefit.

Eyeball network just need multiple transit provider as diversity.
*
But the MBA guys see it as real benefits than actual engineering problem. Where the simple + final solution is the CONSULTANT guy will arrange hardware vendor to fix problem.

* For the 1st two in lists, I never see any 172.x.x.x IP but only 100.73.x.x everytime.

* After a few days testing used Skyworth GN630V, the good thing I can say is my laptop get full speed of my unifi 800/200 within ±5 meter distance from router. Compared to dlink DPN-FX3060V & fiberhome HG6145F3 within same distance only get 600Mbps+.

* Using fiberhome SR1041F as a mesh client also have stable connection (GN630V not stable/always disconnect if set as client) & I still get 800/200 using LAN.

* Btw it'll be my spare router or use as ONU. I prefer dlink DPN-FX3060V as my main router.

GN630V is not that bad as host/single, just WPA3 is broken sometimes.(30 days uptime until my parent reboot it because CCTV hang, lol.)
and yes, client got strange high latency when I using it to convert lan to WiFi(big WiFi adapter la, lol)

Secondly, there is no disconnect/connect button, making hard to get new IP.

Hey BenYeeHua, other thing about GN630V wifi strength. Fiberhome SR120-A as repeater to 100Mbps GN630V.

Hi Sifus

not sure if this the correct subforum to ask

I just subscribed to unifi 500mbps. They provided FiberHome Combo box HG6145F3

Want to set the combo box as a bridge mode, I tried the search function, but cannot find any guide elsewhere in the forum.

Is anyone here had the same combo box and manage to set it as bridge mode?

Hi, mind to share if the whole process can be done through online/call?

Cause the unifi is under my father's name, and at his old age he isn't that tech savvy to through these complicated terms. If possible to be done with just a call I'll take it.

Else need to try luck visit TMpoint together.
*
If ur father never register myunifi app or selfcare, 1st thing to do is register the app using ur father info such as IC & name the most important. For the email & phone u can use ur own. Once done u can proceed with termination trick. When they call u, just answer & act as ur father (not behalf of). Once everything successfully, bring ur father to tmpoint for ownership transfer.

What do you call that thing on top, power regulator/supply? where did you get it? How about backup for wifi? smile.gif
*
The board basically is a dc automatic relay switch but not a voltage regulator. The output voltage is equal to input1 or nput2 voltage but both inputs must be in same voltage (dc) because at the same time input 1 will charge input2. For me the purpose not specifically for CPE (ONU/ONR/modem/router) but any devices which powered by 12Vdc.

I cut old router 12V/2A adapter into 2. The adapter part as an input, the rest as an output. U can search the board in shopee/lazada automatic power switch module. The real backup UPS use same concept, the difference only it have inverter module to convert Vdc to 240Vac.

Btw can buy this.

Your router is using 12V? But some model of Asus running at 18~19V, that lead–acid battery only 12~13V which cannot apply directly to Asus router  sweat.gif  (too bad for my case)
*
Connect in series 12V + 6V & u'll get ±18V. Most standard router use 12V. Or if me will add step-up dc converter board after relay board to convert that 12Vdc.

I asked for SWU 5.0 RM90 500Mbps, then customer service check and said yes can subscribe to this plan.
However the new plan only comes into effect few days later which is weird.
No postpaid simcard and it comes with 1 year Disney+ Hotstar
*
It never suddenly affect, so most important thing is can suscribe the plan because it's not easy before.
