I see this phone checks all the boxes of what people want in an ultimate phone. Too bad it's only China market now. Might not even be available globally. Does anyone know, if getting China set, are we able to access 5G network here in Malaysia?

Camera quality it's really top notch. Less effort to take a nice photo.

iPhone user here since 11,12,13,14,15 pro max. Android has caught up with iPhone in camera department. Not to mention ai capabilities is far far far galaxy ahead of iPhone. iPhone seems like a dumb phone now.

That LYT600 is old hardware...many manufacturers now rebrand old hardware in order to clear old stock/inventory...


HP9 is designed for zoom² far² ... as of today, nothing can beat HP9...

Next, this BBK X8U doesn't have log video... not sure what is BBK's intentions to market this product becoz the cameras are not that impressive...

sure LYT600 is a rebrand of ol' IMX882...a 2024 sensor lol. it's not considered old.
hp9 can be 200MP, 400MP or whatevs and samsung hasn't used it in their flagship phones. point is even if samsung uses it, it'll still gonna be janky because of their over-processing tendencies + down the line with updates it may get worse, same tales towards s23u where they nerfed the software processing of 10x telephoto to the points it becomes hazy. all that for upselling 5x telephoto.
and LYT-900 (or some says a "IMX989" refresh), with its lower 50MP res inside a 1" sensor, is still better than samsung hp1/2 regardless of how many MPs it can squeeze into the 1/1.3" size, just like how a 35mm 8 year old Sony CMOS sensor at 24MP will absolutely murder what LYT-900 can spit out

As I checked Find x8 Ultra CN version less one 5G band n26. As Malaysia 5G band is n26/n28/n78.

I am not sure if miss out n26 for the phone the signal will become weak or not?

As I know WIFI7 for China Phone only have 160Mhz dont have 320Mhz become if you are using WIFI7 router cannot get the Full Performance.

And another not sure is the 5G band n28 have any different with n28A?

The n26 seem is the important band at Malaysia. But Telco Maxis don't use the band n26

but many said flasgship chip usually can use all the bands.. not sure if band is software disabled or not. So there could be ways to unlocked it? I remember this was the case last time.

If using Maxis Telco maybe won't affect too much because Maxis 5G didn't use the n26 band. but the n28a is cut cost version for n28, not sure the n28a is it suit to Malaysia n28 band. if not then will be terrible. As I checked the n78 is for high speed but less coverage.


I see some article mention if less band support the antenna cost is much lower.

As the info for now commercial 5G by DNB use n28a and n78 only ya. But latest news Second 5G infra awarded to UMobile using n28b and n78. Mean future these china version x8 ultra can support 5G infra by DNB.

China ROM nowadays like my Oppo Find X6 Pro no longer can receive bank notifications when doing FPX online while buying from Shopee, with UOB I have to manually key in the 6 digits & 8 digits code to proceed with the transaction, for affin bank app no nothing notification was received cannot use to buy from Shopee or do any FPX online banking. This problem started after the previous dunno which update. That's why I'm not going to buy China ROM Fon again unless it has great specs & very low price.

Beware, my Oppo Find X6 Pro running Color OS 15 China ROM no longer can receive Bank notifications while doing online banking FPX transactions. Both UOB & affin affected. I'm not sure about other banks. But I think this you need to know cos I believe Find X8 Ultra Color OS 15 should be same with mine. On UOB I have to use SMS TAC or the longer tedious 6 digits & 8 digits method. On affin no notification was received so cannot use it to do FPX online banking. Last time affin use a separate app called Affin Secure that works with my Fon but after they introduced the newer Affin Always app, cannot work anymore. Due to this I think I no longer interested in buying China ROM Fon. Unless banking is not a priority for you, you can ignore what I wrote.

Another one is I can't scan duitnow QR code to make payments at shops & stalls using my China ROM Oppo Find X6 Pro... Not sure why like that but bank apps are very finicky to work with China ROM Fon.

Seems like u said after updates seems to have many issues. Haha. Before I use china rom with PBE the notification is hit and miss, sometime have to click in to confirm. Notification noo delay. I use mostly TNG so it's ok.

Iinm iirc when I first got the Fon 2 years ago it wasn't like this, dunno which software updates or app updates screw up

TNG eats my money before that's why I prefer to use duitnow. Anyway it's safer to have banking apps on a separate Fon that's always turn off so that it won't get hacked. My RM is from sweat blood & pain, if missing hacked, I go Penang Bridge jump Liao. Haha 😂

Agreed if the Fon is shipped with unsealed open box, might be possible it can be compromised & risky to install bank apps on it. Nowadays hackers are very hi tech knowledgeable than users. Most China ROM Fon from Shopee are sealed, but nowadays due to network lock on some brands, the sellers will open box to unlock the Fon before shipping, whether the sellers will hanky panky with the Fon nobody knows. For Bank apps it's better to install on Fon that comes in sealed box unopened. Shopee 3rd party sellers mostly will unseal the box before shipping, that's the price to risk it for wanting a Fon that cost less than retail shops. If your bank account got hundreds of thousands better don't simply buy Fons & install your bank app on it. Think carefully 1st.

For a phone priced above RM 3,000, I find it unacceptable to experience notification problems.

The software experience had always been the archilles heel of Chinese brands. Great hardware and camera optimisation but there's still bits and pieces of the user experience that is less than ideal

Mostly this phones are build for china itself mostly. Can consider lucky we can use it. As this china rom are china exclusive. I just think why those high end models from Vivo or oppo not release globally only.
