Thanks for the pointers. I don't have any special photography lights - only the good ol' sun, lampu putih panjang and camera flash  tongue.gif
So better do it during the day la kot... when I try at night even under white light, the result not very good lah, hampeh....

Now my tiny collection consists only Subaru WRC 2005 Monte Carlo Solberg, Nissan 350Z Xanavi JGTC, BMW M3 GTR Le Mans plain version and Integra Type R (this one's for sale, anybody wants it? thumbup.gif ). All 1/18 AA. I do agree with everyone that they cost a bomb but I guess when you gotta have it, you gotta have it...
*
yup... as my vdeocam doesnt have flash, i got no choice but only can do photoshoot during daytime nia... i oso think tat the sunlight probably is the best lighting since it can bring out the real color of the car model... btw very nice models u collect... aa is great for collection n may gain value in times to come too... tongue.gif after all, its a hobby mah... biggrin.gif hope to see some shots from u soon too! icon_rolleyes.gif

anyway, as promised... here are the fresh shots taken today from my latest acquisition... first up my most favourite model currently - the Reventon rclxm9.gif

the pros - matt grey body color, awesone looking wheels, quite detail engine bay, quite detail air intake/flow areas
the cons - lack of brake calipers, painted side signal indicators, poorly done LED rear lights, interior slightly dissatisfied, lack of side window glasses

1/18 scale made by Bburago... i tot this model will be made in thailand since currently most bburago models are from there... but this one is from china... although its not as detail n fine like those from high end diecast makers, the matt grey body has oredi melted my heart... biggrin.gif i juz love to touch the body surface coz its juz simply gorgeous... pictars speak a thousand words, more pics n review after the jump... sorry for poor image quality blush.gif

sleepy, SLR McLaren(Maisto) u can find it at Jusco-I Utama. Murcielago there 1 (silver) at IU Jusco which is Maisto. However the other are Bburago. But there's 1 yellow murcielago in Sg Wang Plaza Parkson. About the 7 series, there's in BTS Kyosho (7 series Hydrogen), M3 E92 i'm not sure. U can check it out at ay BMW showrrom in KL.E60 M5, there's 1 in BMW showrom alongside the Jalan Tun Razak, which s Sapura Auto. Last time i went there, there's 1 unit blue color. I'm not sure now still available o not.. Hehe

Since i'm still new to 1/18, wanna ask all sifus here some 'q'.

Does hotwheels made any 1/18 lambo?
Which brand does most collector goes for in term of price and quality?
What and how to look out for (defect) when buying a 1/18 product?

that all for now, thanks.

juzz4carz: hehe if can reduce the dust is better le... sometimes oso have to take care of the models mah... tongue.gif btw how do u display ur model? coz it seems tat u didnt unscrew ur models? unsure.gif

if u go for budget collectibles, maisto n bburago should be available in major departmental stores... i oso expect the reventons should be mass available in malaysia soon, hopefully... when ur passion runs high, u can go for hi end quality from autoart...

defect is sth we can avoid de... its really hard for us to get a model which is perfectly 100% fine... but very tiny little scratch can still be acceptable... but not broken side mirrors, broken rear spoiler, or even headlights fall out etc... those are unacceptable... i ever saw an f1 car which the rear wing is broken n its even sold for RM229 doh.gif to check for broken parts, try shake the box to hear if there are any sound... if no sound means there no broken parts then should be a green light to purchase tat model... nod.gif

i do take care of them, sometimes even better than my real car that I can actually drive to work and stuff...but that day I was in a hurry before the sun set, so wipe sikit2 je lah....I like them to be on their display stand esp the ones with model name. The downside is it takes more space.

that ford gt is a real looker....that's my long time target....along with nsx gzox jgtc chrome, bmw 3 series wtcc, f430 scuderia, pajero dakar.....hooo the list grows all the time....pokai lorr... rclxub.gif
one more, minichamps mclaren chrome all round drool.gif

Re defects, try to open and inspect the model up close and personal. Most of the time the salesman will have no problem with this. Remember in a way this is an investment. It could be worth a lot more 20 years down the road . Here's hoping... biggrin.gif
