Terdapat tuntutan mahkamah besar-besaran yang difailkan pada akhir 2024 terhadap syarikat-syarikat besar seperti Kraft Heinz, Mondelez, Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, dan Nestlé. Plaintif mendakwa bahawa produk makanan ultra-proses mereka direka untuk menjadi ketagihan dan menyebabkan penyakit kronik seperti diabetes jenis 2, darah tinggi, dan penyakit hati berlemak bukan alkohol (NAFLD), terutamanya dalam kalangan kanak-kanak 1 2.

2. Perbandingan dengan Industri Tembakau
Pakar kesihatan dan peguam membandingkan strategi pemasaran makanan ultra-proses dengan "Big Tobacco", iaitu industri rokok. Mereka mendakwa syarikat makanan menggunakan taktik serupa untuk menjual produk yang berisiko tinggi kepada kesihatan awam, termasuk penyembunyian kandungan gula, iklan agresif kepada kanak-kanak, dan tuntutan kesihatan yang mengelirukan 2.

3. Perubahan Polisi dan Peraturan Kerajaan
Kerajaan Amerika Syarikat melalui agensi seperti FDA dan USDA sedang mempercepat usaha untuk mentakrifkan secara rasmi apa itu makanan ultra-proses. Ini akan membuka jalan kepada peraturan yang lebih ketat, termasuk larangan iklan, pelabelan wajib, dan mungkin cukai tambahan ke atas produk makanan yang tidak sihat 3.

4. Perubahan Tingkah Laku Pengguna

were hit with a new lawsuit in the US on Tuesday accusing them of designing and marketing “ultra-processed” foods to be addictive to children, causing chronic disease.

The lawsuit was filed in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas by Bryce Martinez, a Pennsylvania resident who alleges he developed type 2 diabetes and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, diagnosed at age 16, as a result of consuming the companies’ products.

His lawyers at the firm Morgan & Morgan, a major US plaintiffs’ firm, described the case as the first of its kind.


The other companies being sued are

PepsiCo,
General Mills,
Nestle’s US arm,
WK Kellogg,
Mars,
Kellanova and
Conagra.




“There is currently no agreed upon scientific definition of ultra-processed foods,” Sarah Gallo, senior vice president of product policy for the Consumer Brands Association, an industry group representing food and beverage makers, said in a statement.

“Attempting to classify foods as unhealthy simply because they are processed, or demonizing food by ignoring its full nutrient content, misleads consumers and exacerbates health disparities.”

Lol - we tried to be low key - and no social media faces except for our boss juan in malaysia d

Everything else is represented with a brand and neutral as fuck

Yet malaysian cant stop wont stop - facinated by us -

Maybe we r that great after all- lol or our brainwash strategy since kids r that effective.

What I know is that the principal will get some support or .....
from the company.

Nowadays, the MILO van usually parks beside the school canteen.


The sun is really hot these days, so students can’t queue in the open field.


Now they queue at the canteen — otherwise they might faint.

They just print a man or woman in sports attire cycling on their either in 3-in-1 sachet packaging or in a MILO tin.

They're essential when consumed enough
They're a problem when over consumed

Milo is good for a small cup for breakfast.
They're problem when you milo dinosaur it.
