First time discovering iHerb. Looking to buy magnesium glycinate to help with calming nerves and sleeping. Lac got sell but I think it’s pricier. Plus I can get more pills on iHerb at the same price as what Lac is selling. Is it really trustworthy? I never buy supplements online and always go to local pharmacy to buy so abit wary about it 😅

Did you know LAC is bought over by a Chinese company? The American owners sold it to a Chinese company. Dunno if you trust Chinese companies or not, but just putting it out.

Supplements as a thing is not exactly regulated. Was taking a bunch of them and my liver function numbers were too high when they ran tests during hospital admission. I asked the doctor about the high numbers during a follow up, and he told me to stop taking them for a month so that they could redo the liver function test after that to see if it was my liver or the supplements. It was the damn supplements cos my numbers were normal again. Supplement dosage is normally way too much for what the body needs..

Speaking of magnesium supplement, Alpro Sugi (if you live near one) has their own in house brand magnesium bisglycinate: one bottle of 60 is RM58, 2 bottles for RM100? If not, most of the usual pharmacies might also have... or just ask the pharmacists working there. Don't ask a bunch of forum randos LOL

iHerb is very trustworthy, been using it for years i think over 6 years already. it is more legit then unknown sellers in shopee/lazada, unless you buy from official stores.

How is it supplements from iHerb is allowed by customs?
My direct import was rejected.

Now is ok already. Been buying since it lifted the restriction, btw, just received some supplements last week. They will clear the custom, you dont need to do anything, unless you buy huge amount.

GNC previously was operated as a franchise in Malaysia by LAC since 20+ years back. GNC got bought over by a Chinese company and they sold their manufacturing plant in America. LAC terminated the franchise agreement during the first MCO after the change in shareholding and went into legal dispute with GNC. Long story short, LAC now is selling products under its own brand in all the LAC stores operating in Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Philippines, and as well Watson's pharmacy. LAC does not have any China shareholders and products definitely does not come from China.

Do not age do not sell on any website. They only sell on their own website. They specialise in longevity supplements. They refuse to sell on other platform so that there will not be any fakes or copy cat.

I try not to buy more than RM500 via iherb or vitacost. For those I am using forwarder like from do not age, I just buy 1 product, it went througj. It cost like 1k+?

So 1k from Do not age is ok?
