I would say he did well in increased the feeder bus, RM100 unlimited ridership, increased maintenance of the station, divert some flight route to subang airport. Visa and other payment except for tng. Force tony to make lost by introduce cheaper flights for east malaysia during holidays.

Ktm breakdown and electrics plug shock he was fast to react.

Break monopoly of myeg such as which you can direct pay to the government instead of 3rd party. LRT also approved for penang, now wait for the tender process in Johor see whether its ART like sarawak. Completed gombak bus terminal which was overdue delayed, it was meant for be replace TBS for east coast region.

However for the cons, highway still jam as usual even for the toll road which you have to pay, qvehicle incident ever year also same, car thief still widepsread, VEP delay and complicated application, parking app wasnt that integrated with each app for mulitple council.

To sum up, he did improve alot the public transport system compared to previous transport minister , however alot of area still wasnt unsolved especially the high road incident and pot hole on federal road. The pros area he did was largely in Selangor and KL region, but with the time frame of just 2 years, it still a high achievement (or maybe the previous transport minister is just bad)

Wait, JPJ also take care of pot holes on federal road?

Fix the enforcement of overweight and speeding lorry first la.
Tayar celup and brake won't spoil that easilly if lorry dont speed and overload.

U want significant difference that you can immediately felt, try govt led by Parti Ajaran Sesat. Sure you will get new surprises everyday

Don't need immediately but 2 years already, waiting for what? Wait for next term is it?

"5 years not enough to make enough changes, gip us 5 more years and I plomise you things will change"?

If he is serious about this issue, he would have done something.

Last time every few years got genting bus terjunam and after public outcry, gomen will say do this do that. Then nothing happens until next accident then repeat the wayang.

It feels the same now.

Put it this way, strict enforcement will push up costs. But will make roads safer.
don't forget the SST 8% charged for the first ever time on transport service already very pain when generally transport margins are in single digits.

This is fully absorbed by most intermediaries in supply chain. Who else pay for it? Kpdn been using diesel subsidies to do their ops kesan for months now. Say transport operators can't increase price cuz diesel no up. Well, SST is there who's gonna absorb it?

Up enforcement, check puspakom, prices will rise yes but roads will be safer

Why must increase price? Why can't they lower their profits? If gomen has no control over that, then I'll say let the price increase come. You cannot increase price forever. Eventually people will find cheaper options. When the supply chain starts breaking, see they still increase or not.

Anyway these companies have been threatening price increase for a long long time. I say bring it on. Increase as much as you like and see your customers stop buying.

I won’t say which issue is more important than the other. Both are serious issues and need to be addressed concurrently.
Perhaps the MOT wants to see more stats (more casualties) before they can start to do something.

From tv news of JPJ roadblocks findings, there are lots of lorry running on botak tires. They didn’t even bother with any alternative. They probably rented new tires for PUSPAKOM inspection for show only.

Rent?

Lol you dunno that vehicles can pass inspection without actually going to PUSPAKOM ah? Malaysia govt agencies can be more magic than Copperfield wan.

Iinm there are 2 types of alleged foul play so far as reported, one is corrupted inspection, second is alleged tire renting syndicate for commercial vehicles undergoing inspection.

Klau jalan lubang bawa perlahan lahan, That what you mean?
Kalau miskin, makan ubi kayu sahaja?
Kalau ada p4ncuri , jangan keluar rumah?

The retread tyre is poor quality, and the poor enforcement make it worst. Good quality tyre should able to handle abuse.

Then banyak lorry owner penipun hanat, when check puspakom either kowtim or changed to substandard tyre after completion of checking
The other thing, what happend to our station timbang Mr Lok Lok See See?
Our highway must have a mandatory checking point, other wise same accidents will happened again. Bear in mind that fatal accidents involving busses to Genting is like perenial incident? Is JPJ conducted checking?

Not really... as we are a steel stockist, we also had many lorries coming to and from ports and also factories.

The bottomline is overweight is the first problem. However, drivers already knew about this before hand with their experience. Hence it really depends on the drivers themselves to manage the problem that came with it. The extra load put extra pressure on the tires hence came with extra heat from road contact and also braking. Responsible drivers would stop when they detect problem with the car instead of carrying on or drive much slower since they already gain more by carrying more (which mean they could do less trips).

I would say lately they are carrying less due to stricter enforcements. Just be extra careful of lorries travelling overnight is my advice. Back then lorries that are travelling midnight are the ones with overweight and its not even by a small margin. It could be up to 50%... 40tonnes lorry carrying 60tonnes, 60tonnes carrying almost 90tonnes.

In case you haven't noticed, that's what they do. But if you are good, they don't mind giving you increment, or even promoting you. But if you keep asking for moar and moar, eventually they will replace you with banggala, or fresh grad.

See how it works? You cannot keep asking for more no matter how good you think you are.
