Once a while eat high sugar food, biscuits / soft drink
after finished.. next day still fell like want to buy again

It's very difficult to cut sugar from diet

Do you force yourself to hard stop sugar intake?

Start with your drinks intake. No can/bottle carbonated, sugary and soft drinks, even repacked marigold orange etc air balang a big NO. Instant coffee, go for 2 in 1 only.

All table order drinks, ask for 'kosong' only. Omit condensed milk, change to evaporated milk.

Do that for a start, 6-10 months.

Start with drinks, many years ago i always make milo almost every morning. Then i start replace with plain water, lunch and dinner all plain water. It's normal that you're not use to it in early stage, but after awhile you be fine. Second stage is slowly stop taking high sugar food or snacks, i mean chocolate bar, lots of candies, kuih, cakes, donut etc.

Most important is your discipline, else your diet be useless.

When I first try to cut off sugar, it was crazy withdrawal. Did one day, stop one day, try again and stop again. It doesn’t work.

You need to slowly remove it from the system. For an example, the first few days or the first week, remove all sugared drinks from your system. Maybe allow a serving of fruits.

Once acclimatized, then start looking into removing sugar from food. As your body use a lot of sugar from the food to function, do in stages too. Remove half rice and half gravy. Then remove all rice and gravy or sauce. Obviously with no sugar you need more protein to sustain. It’s expensive.

Ultimately we live to be happy. You don’t need to cut out ALL sugar from your life. Just reduce intake, or keep it for specific times. My life got a lot better when I did IF during weekdays, and I stop drinking all sugary drinks. I eat rice during dinner. I don’t see why a person will die if they eat rice or sugared coffee/tea but in moderation or as little as possible.

Eat a full wholesome meal once or twice a day, full of protein and fiber, it will keep you feel full much longer.

And with balance food intake, your body will slowly and naturally stop sending crave messages to your brain.

Most outside drinks tasted extremely sweet to me these days….extreme sweetness I hate, but just right sweetness I still like lol… anyways I noticed I start liking d taste of plain water more than Chinese tea .. weird …?

eat oats/multi grain products.

you will feel full longer and less craving for food.

there are some sugarless candy that will tune down your craving for food.

i started trying hegula and it did not have weird taste like stevia. 80% taste like white sugar. so when I crave for my teh o panas lipton, i make it with 3 or 4 small mini spoons of hegula.

few years ago, i just cant stand sweet drinks, can control intake to only drink sweet drinks on weekend...nowadays, i always drink iced mocha...not because i like the drink itself, just that, i love buying it, and have some quiet time at cafe

too much coffee also, almost every day must drink iced mocha....comparing to last few years before covid, i never enjoyed coffee much anyway sweat.gif

for me, its the trend that got me i guess...but, ive been excercising more frequent though, so, maybe can offset abit al the sweet things

Start at home. Don't buy high sugar content food then you won't grab them when you are hungry.
Then once normalized, then start with other places where you might eat/drink (office, kopitiam, etc)

same experience... but if I really get myself busy gila, I totally forget food n drink...miss nothing... Not even feel hungry... Maybe too lax end of year... But I hate d stress when top busy...

I eat 5 eggs with half slice avacado if can every morning. Fat and protein combined produce high insulin resistance .

So if ate some sugary stuff, i don't feel sluggish and gain weight easily.

the sugaR is not the problem the problem is because everything sangat senang di dapatkan nowadays, unlike old time i want makan candy bought from kedai runcit I'm either walk 15 minutes or auntie style cycle with basket 7 minute traveling

If you rly want to cut yourself all this you need to live like old time/poor way like ppl said you tak pernah susah you sure tak tahu apa panggil susah is like no pain no gain wait until your leg is cut off only you tahu apa itu panggil susah.

sounds more like diabetes/prediabetes to me.

go do hba1c test for prediabetes/diabetes at farmasi. cost less than rm100.

if result u r prediabetes then congrats theres still way to turnaround. google search and imagine if kena diabetes how hard is ur life your life gonna get.

after that if u feel sked, then automatically u will find way to reverse ur condition. if there's a will there's surely a way.

That why i said the sugar not the problem loh haha , last time you want buy cream bread got to walk some distance, want to buy cookie got to walk some distance , want to go hypermarket got to walk out some distance, got to sweat while waiting public transport, once reach got to walk some distance only you go inside the mall only ceiling fans still got to sweat 😅 , my orphanage home last time where got freezer everything walk or cycling go wet market buy daily good then back to shelter where got so nice Aircon bus 😂 everything is not convenient to get sometimes i want eat sweet things but tired and got to walk 15 minutes mah today cancel trip go next time 😂

Nowadays drive to mall, enjoy cold air, got lift trolley push to your car drive home everything is too convenient where got workout, some sikitx2 grab, nowadays ppl eat snack also don't want eat proper meal, MCO time i see ppl buy more snack than proper meal of course sugar become the problem loh hahaha 😂

try to be addicted to non sugar food. Try everything no sugar. You’ll start liking it after awhile. Now I mostly request no sugar on my drinks. If got sugar, felt very fake drinks now. Try Cham ping no sugar. nice juga.. chagee milk tea no sugar. also nice. other than that I drink coffee like americano and latte. Milk already has some sweetness.

i started my exercise journey 3-4 years ago. first few months totally cut sugar. how i do it?

now on and off i just take some sugar things when doing 100kms rides, or 20-30km run.

I'm running, cycling, tennis, badminton, gym. and piap life is so much fun without the belly

Cycle one hour daily already 5-10KM. Good job

Be safe if cycling path got vehicles.

Nutsack numb got options -
Check ergonomics, your seat position.
Change to more comfortable seat
Wear padded cycling shorts

Many years back attended colleague wedding, he is quite over-weight. 1-2 years later wife pregnant.

Then told him, look at himself and his siblings. ALL overweight! Advice him to raise his kids appropriately with enough exercise with sufficient carbo, minimum sugar.

One decade later his 4 kids all slim, healthy athletics. 👏

you will noticed a lot of thing cannot eat
reason why you feel like next day want to buy again was
because your insulin level is still high, need higher bloodsugar to process insulin
best just stop taking sugar
can do want, want or not only
my way of going for taste is Salsa salad, with balsamic vinegar

constantly drink warm water instead of sweet drinks it does help with reducing the intake, but it doesn't help my crave for dessert. i still enjoy sweet dessert no matter is chinese tong sui, kuih muih, mithai or Pâtisserie... i'm like reduce on sweet drinks but dessert still remain. sweat.gif

i once visit a TCM sifu, he mentioned except it's decaffeinate coffee and depends types of beans and roast level, coffee o without sugar is quite bad for stomach due to it's acidic. a little sugar will do, not necessary to taste sweet. else add milk
