Zapper comes with this game. Not sure about the game itself, but I think Djinn's bringing the bundle.

And IMO, I think getting the Zapper is ok. I believe it provides a different kind of feel for shooting games, as you're holding the Zapper at waist-line, rather and aiming directly forward like holding a handgun.

And I think playing the lazy man's way(while sitting on couch, arms on lap) would kill all the experience that this game provides.

My humble opinion of course.

With that said, once I get this game, I'm targetting Ghost Squad bundle. So that means TWO Zappers nod.gif

I asked Eddy the rough price. It's gonna be RM200+

But according to PA figure:

Game = USD49.9 / RM170

Zapper standalone = USD20 / RM70

Add together = RM240

So there we have it. Our new expected price!

yeah that's good what....can co-op later with your friends or gal laugh.gif

can't you just get one bundle and get the stand-alone game for the other? djinn bringing in UC bundle? but PA dy sold out their pre-orders leh, if djinn really got the official bundle then it would be a japanese version of the game.
hmm....not sure if i need a japanese copy of another game. rclxub.gif

obviously he meant the game only as he already said zapper only for japanese market so if US game + JP zapper bundle is still under RM200, then it would be the steal of the century rolleyes.gif

But zapper or no zapper, i don't think it will take much outta of the experience of playing a RE shooting game as i tried all the previous RE gun survivors with and without lightgun and it's not much of a bother for me with the lightgun. whistling.gif

KL have stock for Zapper already?
Can't wait to get it. Now I have to imagine my WiiMote + Numbchuck is a "gun".
Demm... might have to rubber band them on a cardboard.

I saw the gametrailers review on this game. Quite good. You don't need a zapper to play this since you need the nunchuck to use your knife. If you mount the nunchuck and the wiimote to the zapper you can't use the knife. But if you do use the zapper it keeps it cursor centered while you reload.

Oh, I forgot to mention that Eddy said that Resident Evil: UC might(give it a 60-70% chance) arrive today thumbup.gif

Too bad I'm broke.

And it's not gonna be a Zapper bundle. That's only for Japan.

Like many reviews/previews for Wii games, everyone has different preference. Some say it's better without it, some say it is.

True it's a gimmicky plastic shell, it just gives a rifle/sub-machine-fun feel to it.

But in regards to the Zapper, Ghost Squad is actually prefers it. Ghost Squad(on-rails like RE:UC) has a calibrating option that requires you to "aim-down-the-sight" in order to get pin-point accuracy. I don't think pressing a Wiimote up to your face would feel as good as holding a "sub-machine-gun" tongue.gif

Oh well, to those who wanna plunk down USD20 for it. I'm not even interested in Link's Crossbow training shocking.gif

Alot of reviewers complaining that RE:UC zombies are a little slow rclxub.gif I'm somewhat disappointed by that, but House of the Dead wasn't that fast either, so not much surprise. Just the damn reviewers telling us that it's friggin' slow, I hope it's not exaggerated, cause from the videos, they look fine. Mighty fine I might say.

What I like about Ghost Squad(GS) is that, in the Arcades you actually had to hold the rifle in a rifle manner. With butt-stock at arm, one hand on trigger, and one hand at arms length, aiming down the sight. Yeah, that's the stuff. I hope the accuracy is there tho' unsure.gif

This is something like a "director cut" or a summary version of BioHazard series from Zero to Last Escape. Good for old timer to recall the good all time. I would say this is good for fans. If you're comparing with major FPS games, you gonna look else-where.

co-op with the missus? must be fun i bet.... brows.gif

btw i heard a lot of gamers complaining about the wii remoto/aiming-cursor not being responsive enough, compared with other wii lightgun games...any problems on your side?

That's a very SMALL nuisance. It's because the game is running in 30fps, and not 60fps like Wii menu. If you played games like Red Steel, and Elebits, you'll notice the cursor is a bit lembab. But doable. So no problems on my side.

Apparently, Link's Crossbow training is kinda good. Definitely more fun compared to the shooting galery in Wii Play sweat.gif

Eddy promised not more than rm100.....the US retail price is USD19.90 so i think it's pretty fair considering how bulky it might be. flex.gif

anything with link/zelda name on it has to be decent i guess, though if you read IGN's impresssions of the kit, they weren't very impressed with the tommy-gun styled design.

Ah, the crap reviews of Wii products. Some say yes, some say no. I believe it's up to us to decide for ourselves. And a sub-RM100 game + zapper? Woo, I'm in if there's extra stock next month.

Yeah, since it's bundled with a Zelda game, people might actually BUY IT tongue.gif

But with zapper, I bet it'll be much harder to knife in RE:UC.

Ghost Squad is supposedly out too!

using the zapper on the RE : UC you have to change the settings to use the Zapper controller

to knife, simple hold the C button and swing your nunchuk.

to get an item on the floor or anyway that indicated simply point and press the Z button

I scored an A on the first level but thats about it ..

I think it'd be great if the way you play this game allows for both the nunchuch and wiimote to be attached to the zapper.. but clearly RE:UC is meant for the nunchuch to be held in another hand :/

I've tried attaching both but its difficult to pull off knifing or dodge moves whilst on the zapper...and having to hold it separately just kinda defeats the purpose for me for these type of games.. might as well be just holding the wiimote by itself..

i home some third party comes up with a better accessory or future games considering this but the game's still fun..

btw, is it just me or does the zapper kinda look like Boba Fett's blaster? biggrin.gif

resurrecting this ole thread, hehehe....i am playing the game with the zapper, and i still keep the nunchuk attached to the back. it's a little hard at first but you can actually just swing the back part of the zapper whilst keeping your aim steady with the zapper.... takes some practise. icon_rolleyes.gif

Or i heard you can actually just reload with a toggle of the analog stick on the nunchuk....haven't tried it myself but i plan to finish it first with the zapper before trying it again without the zappper attachment. thumbup.gif

Haven't u give it a go for one stage until finish? I tought like that too b4...but after a couple of minutes, I find that we're more flexible using the wii ctrl happy.gif U don't need to push a button to knife and reload...response time is cut short, our aim is accurate (just use handgun n u can easily shoot down enemies in the lift stage...no need rifle) and so on. happy.gif

err btw, if u insist on using the GC ctrller, just plug in the ctrller in its port and leave the wiimote as it is. The game will detect the controller and give the GC controller the priority. I haven't triend with RE though, but my Naruto game does that.

I start my game again using a fresh save space with 2 wiimote after I found it hard to play it using just one player tongue.gif So basically I am playing a 2 player game but both controllers are controlled by me. It does need a little getting used too (Especially the event trigger)..but other than that...it's a blast. Like milla jovovich with 2 guns tongue.gif

wat is the point of downloading the save? u shud be the one who works hard for all the unlocked features and items then only u will derive great satisfaction when using them in games.

i agree with bid, but i find it hard to score a S-rank too....do i need to aim for the critical hits ? i finished some levels with C-rank for enemy hits, is it because i didn't hit all the enemies with my handgun and instead take them out with a oil barrel/grenade? argh....S-rank seems like a long way to go.

enemy hits count is represent by ANYTHING you kill (including leeches, bugs, etc) ... so timely use of grenades helps with achieving that statistic.

Critical Hits are ONLY relevant for zombie enemies and you'd have to get a decapitating headshot. aim for the very top of the center of the forehead.

hope that helps.

oh i see..... how about the enemies in the background? do i need to go for those too? sometimes the camera pans around and give you a short glimpse of some enemies in the background which can't come close enough to attack you but are still within range of attack. do i need to lob a grenade in that direction?

killing those would definitely add to the enemy kills but i guess you'd have to look at the stage overall and strategize how to reach the required count for the appropriate rank.

oh i see..... how about the enemies in the background? do i need to go for those too? sometimes the camera pans around and give you a short glimpse of some enemies in the background which can't come close enough to attack you but are still within range of attack. do i need to lob a grenade in that direction?

Where got hebat sham, hv 2play long hrs only can unlock..I take turns playing with my bro then only can unlock. Especially the 2twins in the wesker (which my bro give up after few attempts, end up i hv 2kill them for him)

My suggestion: Try play some other lvl 2lvl up ur weapon, coz lvl1 is hard 2kill.
Then, aim for his head when they approach u (got few chance u'll be in the situation), try use machine gun 2do it.

Like our friend say, if u saw the zombie only (i mean in a group) for few sec, u might consider using grenade, blast them off not only 2get better grades, but u'll also feel fun brows.gif

Its nice 2do critical shot, but it take practise 2aim @their head

i dont understand how a lightgun game can be slow....it's not like the earlier gun survivor which u control the pace of the game by having complete control over the character's movement, you only have to worry about hitting yr targets with this game.

sadly the game also lacks replay value because of this very same reason as you are subjected to the same route and pace all the time (like the pre-rendered backgrounds of RE games where u always get the same view/angle of each room), save perhaps for a few path-branching here and there....

Is there a website for Tips and Hints for RE4? I'm looking for help from some of you gurus. I'm new at this. Thanks.

don't get a zapper. better get a Nyko PerfectShot. That's the best gun the Wii can ever get for now.

yep, i'm with kyo on this..... i've played this game three times with three different configurations (zapper, wiimote alone, perfectshot) and perfectshot was the best setup. i tend to hold the perfectshot with two hands so i'm not able to equip the nunchuk with it. the pay-off is i have higher accuracy but u can't control the camera without the analog stick on the nunchuk.

i bought a TWINS BLASTER

i think its good (i tried others), but after a while, i still used back the wii mote. coz its just tiring holding the gun..

and the accuracy seems not so good (maybe need practice)

i find the accuracy better with lightguns but yeah the problem is they are rather heavy so i tend to hold them with both hands... can't dual-wield. tongue.gif
