Lol I did have a chance again to get the nano texture version. 😂

My MBP dropped from my sleeve onto the pavement few days ago, I thought I already zipped the sleeve closed but it was open! There was a nasty ugly dent and My heart broke since it was only 10 days old 😢

Thinking of what I should do, claim from my Insurance? Get AppleCare+? But cosmetic damages is not covered, so no deal… unless I intentionally trash it until it’s unusable.
Then I remember it was still within 14 days return period, so I tried my luck and Apple is now sending me a brand new replacement! Now I’m getting paranoid and thinking of using back my hard shell case 😅

That’s the big difference between Apple and other tech/PC brands. Their customer service is still among the best.

So they accepted the return despite the mbp is already dented? wow. never knew they do that.

uhm... won't Apple charge you later for it? 14 days return period is when the unit is okay.

i asked Machines Ioi City, they say they dont have inventory for nano display, have to order from Apple directly. not sure can trust or not...

Nano display to me it's not really matte and muted colors. it's like best of gloss screen clarity + less to no reflection. It does seem like Flolab anti-reflective screen protector on iPhone.

u don't need to be working outdoors or bright light. Even at home, sometimes the ceiling florescent lights, do create reflection. My eyes also don't feel so fatigue strangely, just a feeling.

They already shipped the replacement. So it is a free replacement, could have opted for a full refund as well.

Well it’s good if you couldn’t see the difference, but to me when side by side the clarity and colours are not the same with nano texture. Especially text clarity is more apparent to me.
If you watch some of the YouTube videos of them side to side, at certain angle and light you can also see the washed out colours.
But yes, you definitely won’t have as much eye fatigue on nano since glossy reflection strains the eye.

Hope they improve on the nano in later generations, I’d jump on that if they improved on the text clarity.

I assume you haven't shipped the damaged unit as return right?

I trade in my iPhone 15pm to buy the iPhone 16pm

they sent the 16p to me first and pos laju went to pick up my ip15pm later on

No, I shipped it back first and only after they received it they ship the replacement to me.
And they didn’t reject my return unit because they have already ship out my replacement unit.
I did call the CS first before initiating the return replacement procedure.
Trading in is different, you pay for the new item and they ship it to you, then only you post back your old item and then they refund you the trade in price.

oh I see that's great they actually replaced it.

now I get a chance to replace one within 14 days for any accidentally damages.

This nano or not, really polarizing, the Reddit post is pretty good summary. But dont compare too much, just go with your preference and budget, be done with it.

Hopefully you will get a replacement, learning from incident, better to get the hard case for the MacBook rather sleeve instead, just order mine with nano on 19th, expecting from 24 - 27 dec , we can call to expedite it or delay the delivery right? 25-31st dec, I’m out of town

I noticed spigen hv covered bottom without gap for air circulation , does the heat dissipation work?

fan area near the hinge is not covered by the case, bottom full covered yes, but i never felt the laptop getting hot cause M4 is too powerful. fan never get the chance to work at all
