QUOTE(yvliew @ Nov 18 2024, 10:35 AM) depend price difference. But surely the speed is overkill for TB4. It's already limited to around 3500-4000MB/s. Unless you get thunderbolt 5 enclosure and M4 Pro. But don't think market has any TB5 enclosure yet. The price different is around RM100+. Think will just go for 850X as it has DRAM, at least in the future when I pop it onto a PC motherboard it's still a very capable nvme. |

Looks like SIRIM totally forgotten Mac mini m4 model. I think only the iMac models are fully approved.
Left Mac Mini M4 and MacBook Pro M4 14". |

The base model Mac Mini M4 is probably the hottest product by Apple now. It's probably just delayed and more focus given to the first wave countries.Left Mac Mini M4 and MacBook Pro M4 14". It really makes no sense to even buy a windows machine at this point for casual users, the Mac Mini M4 is hands down the best PC to buy at this moment. We all thought Microsoft would be leading the ARM based windows revolution but no manufacturers followed suit. But they'll definitely follow suit now seeing how many Windows users will buy a Mac instead of the traditional Intel/AMD PC's hafiziza liked this post

How much power consumption would a similar Windows set up need?

QUOTE(yvliew @ Nov 18 2024, 06:50 PM) even with a due date, they don’t care 😂 They are the approving body...BTW guys, im fully on Windows and Android right now, but I just got an iPhone 16 PM and an Apple Watch S10. Now im kind of attacted to Apple ecosystem. I’m thinking to get Mac Mini M4 (base) to test my skills on macOS. If it works well then might upgrade to the Mac Studio next year (likely annouce in WWDC 2025). I’m a digital content creator mostly do digital products, video editing, app development, and scripting... What do you guys think? should i stick with Windows or switch to macOS? any windows user here move to macOS? share expreince please |

I’m not sure if it’s the best time to order right now. School is almost out, and I remember when I ordered my M1 Mac mini around November or December. There weren’t any free or cheap add-ons. When I ordered my M2 Mac mini last July, I didn’t get any add-ons either, but after about a week or two, I checked again and could add on free AirPods 2 or 3, or even AirPods Pro. It felt a bit unfair, so I called Apple and told them about the situation. They were happy to give me the AirPods 2 for free. I’m really impressed with Apple’s customer service. I think if you’re looking to buy something with freebies, you might want to wait until January or so. Maybe when school starts again. I also helped my friend buy an iPad before through the EDU account, and we got some freebies during the back-to-school season. Skeuomorphic liked this post
