Sorry for my ignorance, but what is the "private lift" in a condo? Does it means every unit has own private lift?

Private lobby Saja. If every floor got 4 units, there are 4 or 8 lifts. U don't see your neighbour. Lift opens on that floor, it's your unit Saja.

Why trick? Come KD ayam show a real unit. They can just leave those expensive shoes and golf sets outside their lobby cause it's private lift entrance.

basically, the lift just opened at your floor, there are no other units to your floor. Let's say your unit faces the west.

Like someone said above, there's a mini corridor between the lift and your unit door. You can put all your stuff at the mini corridor. No one else can access to your corridor.

Another unit at the same floor access to a different lift. Let's say another unit faces the east. So this lift faces the east, whereas your private lift faces the west.

But your 'private lift' will also go to a different floor for other units, facing the same west side.

the lift door opens direct to your home/lobby. you wont see your neighbour from same floor, but there is possbility to share the same life with neighbour from other floors.

lift opens in your condo unit, normally just outside your front door. this space is yours only. can take off shoes here and got another door which opens into your wet kitchen or laundry area or storage area, depends on layout.

It's just a single lift shaft with the lift that stops on every floor (limited by access card). The access to the lift lobby is limited to that particular condo unit in that floor.

If the access card sensor spoils and allows the lift to anyhow stop without access card limitation, you will have strangers outside your condo main door.

same like office lifts lo. you can also enter into other floor your access card cannot tag to if you tailgate someone else

but in the end once you reach to that floor youll be greeted with extra doors which you cannot open anyway

Private lift is not really private.

I worked in management office in luxury condo.

When you use the lift, it will go up exactly to your unit. But you are still sharing with other residents that use the private lift. It doesn't feel like private to me.

The management that I worked last time don't even enforce one resident only can enter the lift. So there are times where 3-4 residents in 1 private lift.

Other than that, they only provide 1 private lift for each block/tower you live. So during peak hours, you still need to wait a little bit since only have 1 lift available unless if you willing to use the normal lift.

I don't think it's worth it. During lift maintenance or the lift is broken down, u still need to use normal lift.

Not sure with other luxury condo's in Malaysia

anyway the basis of this marketing term "private lift" in residentials is that the lift goes to your floor which has no other units. so it is partially "correct" in being "private"

no, the whole block shared the same list but the lift door open up directly to ur unit so u dun have to walk a distance, take out key unlock door, etc and only ur access card can activate the lift to ur unit

The one I am cleaning, service lift is hidden to a corner room and near the garbage room. Residents can access it using the back entrance

Visited a similar condo, there was no private corridor or lobby and such, so when the lift door opens I can see the whole interior of the house.

usually for the penthouse.... say the building got a 3 level penthouse on the top, so the penthouse got own lift from his parking level up to his unit for the unit to use only. no stop at other floors

Private lift can be terrifying. Can you trust the access card cannot be hacked. Security guards can be trusted or not. If you leave main door open people can walk in or you open the door and someone standing in your private lobby. Still prefer main door with metal gate😆

exclusivity and behaviour is different....you stay at such place, u paid for it, you're expecting a similar mindset of others
plus there are cameras everywhere

same can be said to hotels too
u wanna experience what i'm talking about...just try go to those 4-5 stars hotels and book a suite for 1 night
that's the kind of experience i'm talking about and hotels is even more insecure

but such condo usually not very high dense, wont bump into your other floors neighbours so easily unless u got the same working time

When you reach the unit, need to go to service door where the maid enter. The maid and owner don't share the same door.

Real private lift no need access card. Just walk in, AI CCTV will recognise you and Jalan terus. No need do anything.

Open house door straight to lift area. the lift area is actually part of your unit parcel area.
So no common corridor.

Example a building with 50 level. You house is level 5 unit number 3A.
This private lift is dedicated only for all unit level number 3A. From level 50 until level 5.

some rich people are very private, they don't like their face being scanned....they still prefer tapping the card

Their system so canggih, any stranger go in the lift, the CCTV screen will be triggered at the guard house and the guard will see who is in the lift. But a lot of high end condo now have ANPR and face recognition. The best part is, the AI can detect owner a distance away and open he gate just in time when the owner reach, owner don't have to stop at all.
