i think bcoz of ur bedding... what brand u use?? try changing the brand to chipsi classic or delikate wood flakes.. sometimes they r allergic to some brands, so their fur kinda of itch n drops... nose bleeding coz the type of bedding got scent oil esp cedar or pine, dats not very good for gerbils...

Hi... Wanna update on the New 2 feet tank... Just finished bringing the 2nd litter pups to meet Dad n 1st Litter Pups...

Yea. Gerbils will forget each other in 24hours if they r seperated.. Dats y i always bring the male pups from 2nd litter to male tank every day.. So they can smell smell each other.. Lick2 here n there... haha

Nezu, thanks k.. My gerbils at first wont even come near the organic vege supplement.. Then i smashed some kibbles n mix with the supplement with some vitamin drops n water.. Then roll like a ball.. Now they like it very much esp mom.. Mommy will always be the first to try things out!!! haha

So funny... The blacks pups are doing fine alongwith the care from their sister from 1st litter.. hehe

okla.. hopefully dis weekend can have sometime... really busy le rite now.. study week ma.. next two week gonna exam d... hehe

They, the animals have instinct to breed la when they feels secure[safe home, comfortable], and plenty of food[dats nutritious to them] and when the condition[cage placement, temperature] is right for them... Dats when they will breed..

I bought them on December last year.. They mated on February.. Why so fast? Coz the basic things for them is OK already...

(2) Organic Vegetarian Supplement 100g,
(3) Delikate Vitadrips Multivitamin,
(4) mealworms,
(5) vege [carrot etc],
(6) fruits [red apple, etc],
(7) Hay
(8) Cat Kibble [Kitten]...

The Prestige can be mixed with Britter Bunny 1kg... The percentage is [1 : 1/4] => 1 of Prestige Hamster Nature mix with 1/4 of Briter Bunny...

i will take them out from tank to explore when i change bedding.. they will go explore here n there.. then suddenly come see me, what i am doing... then go explore again.. keep repeating this a few rounds till i finished and lure them to me.. then put back to the tank... TAME : u decide la...

Everynight i will stroke them when they r active... I put my whole arm in the tank for them to sniff me... hehe.. Some will climb over and stay there, but some will climb and jump out from my arm out of the tank.. noty noty TAME : u decide la...

@nugget : if a 1.5 feet tank : mine is 2-3 gerbil per tank, or mommy + pups [currently mommy, a 1st litter daughter, two 2nd litter pups-still nursing ]

if a 2feet tank : my 5 males is currently living in one.. shud be ok for 5-6...

depends on what u can afford n what u have... Afford : if can the bigget/largest k.. Have : how many gerbils u have.. if below 3, 1.5feet will do... if more, please upgrade.. common sense here k..

last time went to PW in MV, saw 2 silent wheel 6.5inches wan.. selling for rm29++... the old price.. went to check again but someone bought d.. ahead from me... huhu...

btw, for the 2feet one, the toys i have : the coconut, the wooden house, paper box [i get from a lot from a souvenir shop], a ceramic vase, an extra aroma burner, and a big mug as feeder...

haha n then lots of tissue as their bed to sleep on... seems like wherever i put the tissue, that's the place for them to sleep.. soft soft ma..

the 1.5feet tank : 2 aroma burner, and piles of boxes for them to explore... hehe..

OMG! no eyes?? my 2nd litter also same age with yours.. been monitoring all since i have them, every night check one by one since i bought the papa n mama gerbil... hehe..

8 pups!!

From my Gerbil mama earlier today!! I went to product training this morning and came back on evening.. She gave birth liao.. Waited since that day when i post bout mentioning i suspect her become fat thingy, TO SEE THE BIRTHING PROCESS but haih~~~ no luck is NO LUCK..

Her pregnant belly looks just like when she had her 1st batch but birthed 7 pups then.. The 2nd time she's pregnant, her belly balloons to the extreme, but only 3 pups which comes in abnormal sizes.. This time, all the 8 pups birthed from her pregnant the same as the first.. Normal size, and all are doing fine..

Why does the above happen? I think it's bout Nutrition!! [correct me if it's wrong ya, Nezu..]

B4 i introduce them to Prestige, i was using Habitrail and mealworms only.. Dats y the 1st batch 7 pups but not all survived.. 5 made it.. And that time mama is very thin.. Then i found this Forum.. Get advised by some expert here!! Haha.. thanks SIFU

Later change to Prestige [Britter Bunny din buy coz OOS], still with the last habitrail [mixing them], kitten kibbles, multivitamin, supplement, vege, fruits, mealworms, super mealworms, etc... Really can see the changes in their Health [their fur, their growing stages, etc]... haha

@tikusniaga : Might as well sell them later.. Coz the 1st Batch pups already living happily with their daddy.. Sine i cant intro them to the male clan, i will consider selling this batch later, when they reached proper age.. If i din find any suitable buyer, i can keep them too.. They are already my responsibility ma.. Can have a house of critters d here...
