@soulx : lately [not that lately la, 3 weeks liao] i train them to accept food from my finger.. usually treats like slices of carrots.. small enuf for each to hold.. so any individual wanna have one slice, must come to me.. hehe

this is even better if u use kitten kibbles.. mine will come when i open the jar.. [i put mine in a jar for storage].. then they will come n sniff sniff.. i will give only if they come to me..

try la.. very happy when they catch the idea!! then sometimes when u wanna give treats, put them on ur palm b4 offering treats.. they will eat, sitting on ur palm!!! lol be patience thou..

hope this helps. it doesnt happen in a day or two... 3 weeks is what i get them to do.. everynite if possible k..

Last time my adult female suddenly wanna declan.. Dunno why, just got 3 gerbs in 1.5 feet tank.. So i put lots of things inside to make it crowded.. and to make her play rather than attack others.. fuih~~ luckily now all ok d.. still have to watch her, takut repeat again~~ huhu

Hi, i got 2 new gerbils from a friend... They are a Light DEH and a Nutmeg. Both females.

Is this a DEH or Light DEH?
= white belly, lightish sand colour, a bit ticking, dark nails, black eyes




N the nutmeg
= the left hind leg got broken when she's a pup.. so have to really care for her.. can i still breed her?

Will breed with my males.. A Light Agouti. Then will determind both genes.. Thanks ya..

Ermm, i bought a pair from mid valley.. Both r agoutis.. Male : Dark Agouti, Female : Normal Agouti.. From their fur appearance..

Then when they have their first batch, there r 3 agouti n 1 black.. Now they r 4 months plus, 2 of the agouti colours like their mom, the other got more brownish fur than grays n tickings.. u can tell he is slightly lighter agouti..

Do i have to prove him by breeding to see the results from his litter? Is this the correct way to determine his genes too..??

My new Gerbils [so called DEH and nutmeg] finally get along with my female clan.. After they figured out who shud be the NEW MATRIACH of the clan.. The NUTMEG wins.. hehe

Hi babymoli, NO i dont know the genetic make up of them.. So i will have to clarify only when the pups r older.. No worry ya, i am not making profit from them!! Hehe
