hi guys... my female gave birth to 3 pups on 16th.. late 10days from due date.. huhu
the pups are very abnormal.. 1 being the bigger than normal size, 1 normal size, and 1 smaller than normal!!! omg, scares me to death... is this normal?

hehe... who has the sp lilac and argente?? plan to keep different colours n single sexed per tank... as my collection.. pm me k if u willing to let go thru selling or exchange... thanks

latest update => the smallest pup din make it... i cant find him anywhere in the tank... must be cannibalised by mom d lo... yucks!

i keep the dad in a separate tank d.. n always take the male pups to play2 wif him twice n sumtimes thrice a day... so lonely ma... but going to put all the males separate from mom n daughter by dis monday... hehe..

so the two pups left is a black n a agouti!!!! haha black again lo!!! so i can have 2 black in my clan if all goes well... dunno bout the sex yet.. the bigger size pup is the black.. the normal size is agouti but still not very sure.. my fren says it's a black too... hehe anyway, hopes dat they will make it!!! so can have many2 gerbils!!! hehe

haha.. now confirmed d all 2 pups are black!! not a bit of brown hair [as seen in agouti pups b4]..

btw, the 2 black pups are doing well... last nite, suddenly the mom wanna declan the female pup staying with her.. haih... i have to like watched them for 2 hours n try to make them a clan again by putting more toys in order to make mom forget about attacking the female pup from 1st litter.. luckily all ends well...

Jon, nezu ask to refer in 1st page on split cage method... or maybe a cage in ur storage bin... then switch places for both new and old gerbils.. to get them used to the new and old scents... only put bedding, food and water bottle on both side... no toys.. let them concentrate more on accepting each other k... good luck..

my new pups are being sexed just now.. hehe.. 1 black male and 1 black female... a pair of blacks!!

update on the 1st batch pup... each with their own trademarks of personality...

3 male Agouti : A B C
A always the first to come to me.. lick2 my finger.. just sit and stand on my hand when i pick him up.. the largest of them.. yet the sweetest!!

B always cleanse his fur n others too.. likes to lick2 pups too.. n will try to pursuade me to take him out, only then try to come off from my hold.. noty noty!!

C always the first to eat the treats i put in the dish.. any food, he is the first to grab them.. then he will like promote to other sibling how good the food is.. only then the others dare to eat.. haha

1 female Agouti :

D always run away whenever i try to hold her.. haha the second smallest among them.. really follow whatever mom does.. lick2 pups, jump to get out of tank whenever i open the cover, take bedding back to pups nest, etc.. following her mom instincts.. always stick near to mum.. hehe

1 male Black :

Blackie : the smallest among all, and the dearest to the new pups.. aways take the pups n put under him to keep warm so sweet.. or maybe he senses they are black beauty like him too.. haha

JonYeap, what colour are your pair? and the female u getting from ur friend? hehe

luckily i am an Ex-Committee member in my campus.. so staff wont kacau me or my pets [pets r not allowed in campus..] haha

yea, petshack soo COMPLETE dat i terlebih beli supplement.. i took both delikate Vitadrips n organic vege supplement.. haha.. just realised dis morning.. lucky the gerbils la...

b4 dis i am also using habitrail.. rasanye xda kesan jgak.. coz habitrail is normal food only.. bijirin pelbagai.. Prestige ones got fruits n herbs.. dats y kena seimbangkan dgn britter bunny yg bijirin pelbagai...

so basically if u mix habitrail n britter bunny.. kesannya.. lagi byk bijirin je.. not fruits n herbs also..

crystal : if u prefer an solo pet, then Fat Tail Gerbil is ok with u.. plus if u have budget k.. the price is 3figure...

but if u want something more than a lonely pets, Mongolian Gerbil are best.. they must have companians k.. so single sexed pair will do[ male male pair OR female female pair] if mix pair, then will have babies lo.. but be sure not to get both from the same batch when buying, coz will lead to inbreeding.. hehe

how do u guys make ur gerbils fat??? mine will eat so little onli... cant get fat.. millet is good for them to gain weight rite? what else can i do for them??

thats da latest pup from 2nd litter??? i mean ur litter and mine so near only... a gap of 1 week for 1st litter and 5 days for 2nd litter!!! haha and is that the Sp Lilac girl?? hehe falling in LOVE d...

basically, u need good quality food like Prestige Hamster Nature [RM21.90], Britter Bunny [RM9.00], organic vege supplement [RM18.00], Delikate Vitadrips [RM14.90], alfafa hay[RM20plus], mealworms[RM1.00] etc... mine can last for like 2 months with my first pair.. now cannot d, coz got 9 gerbils d mar... haha.. and beddings too.. better buy delikate wood flakes or chipsi classic.. both around RM20... big packet one.. 60l.. worth it!! haha
