KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 30 — A self-propelled robot from China equipped with cameras and able to get into tight spaces will be deployed tonight in the search and rescue efforts for the Indian national who was swallowed by a sinkhole on Jalan Masjid India in Kuala Lumpur.

Three engineers from China are expected to arrive in Malaysia to operate this specialised equipment, Free Malaysia Today reported earlier today, citing an anonymous source involved in the rescue operation.

The search-and-rescue operation (SAR), now in its eighth day, has been ramped up with the use of heavy drilling equipment to create access points.

Due to limited access, the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) requested additional suction pipes from Indah Water Konsortium Sdn Bhd to lower water levels.

Earlier today, the Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) determined that it was too risky to continue using diving methods in the SAR operation.

Means she got swept away by the strong current. Hit to the end cause it's blocked.. And kept being pushed due to the current . Remember water level is high there, strong. And she's at the start of blockage area

If this is an exam question and I ask you to critically think.. What would be the outcome.

You all got read the article about Bomba stopping the search for now or not? They said the water flow is so strong, the divers had difficulty swimming out of the pipe. Even if let's say they can find the body, how will they pull it out when the divers themselves have difficulty swimming out? We are talking about a body that has been rotting for more than a week in sewerage filled with all kinds of bacteria.

So easy to mix politics and promise won't stop until found, but who is the one risking their lives?

Very hard for people to accept this.

Mix in politicians who want to look like heroes. Later tragedy strike our Bomba members and the body still not found.

My opinion is..

Korek a new tunnel for the sewage pipe for bypass..

After connect the sewage pipe.. the usual operation of sewage water flow will not hamper search effort..

Then korek out the old pipe and check .. and also is due time to replace since there are blockage..

2 in 1 sekali tapao..

Hope authorities can consider my 2 cent idea..

still can find tulang belang....bonus...easier to pass thru small blockages...

you ever see the drains near kopitiam and mamak? thats the source of all your fats...than multiply by thousands of shops and years of doing this daily....
