Hi all sifus

Please guide me through the steps required to switch from Maxis Fiber to Unifi without terminating my current port? Do I need to bring any documentations to TM/Unifi store?

Terima kasih banyak banyak all sifus

but why? current port at ur location ngam2 & no extra port? why not just request for Maxis termination then when I get the date for the cutoff (within 2 working days for my case) straightaway request unifi to install on the same day / next day.

The steps are quite simple.
First make sure your contract has ended. Then, go to Tmpoint, mention that you want to transfer your Maxis fibre to Unifi. Usually they will give 6 months free bill, depend on which plan you select.
Complete your Unifi registration and TM will give you transfer ID. Call Maxis, inform you want to transfer out, provide the transfer ID to them. Pay any outstanding bill if you have.
Wait few days for Maxis to approve transfer. Once approve, TM will arrange technician to setup Unifi at your house.
Maxis will terminate your fibre account within 2 weeks time once Unifi is installed. There will be another final bill prorated for your Maxis fibre. Pay that bill and consider it done.

Do these steps also work exactly the same way for opposite networks, i.e. transferring over from Unifi to Maxis?

(I've been reading a common mistake which causes a lot of problems is terminating prematurely without getting a transfer ID)

Yes, it is applicable the same way regardless you transfer from Unifi, Maxis, Celcom fibre etc as long as it run on TM HSBB infra.
Those who terminate without going through the transfer process risk losing their port, especially if your area has someone in the waiting list. Once you terminate, the port will be assign to the next in line, and by the time you want to register another ISP then no port for you.

Do it middle of your monthly maxis bill. If u do it in the first few days u will feel wasted since u have to pay for the full month.

Yes go to tm get the transfer id. Call maxis to inform and reject all their offers.

Visit TM and request to port in, then they will provide you Transfer ID.

Once you received that most probably you will receive call from Maxis Retention team for offer either accept or reject that offer.

Usually there are different offer. For example x month free or free speed upgrade.
Just like offer for switching to Unifi, either you get x months free or free TV.

I recently made the switch from Maxis Fiber to Unifi. You don’t have to terminate your current port. Just head over to a TM/Unifi store with your IC and a recent utility bill. It’s also helpful to have your Maxis account info handy. They’ll handle the details and guide you through the process.
