Its better to fund for lens than getting a new body. Once you have the lenses, then you can think of the body. smile.gif

Invest for the Nikon Trinity Lens (S'thing i usually bump into when people asking about what good combination of lens for Nikon DSLR)

1st --> Nikon Zoom Super Wide Angle AF-S Zoom Nikkor 14-24mm f/2.8G ED Autofocus Lens
2nd --> Nikon Zoom Wide Angle-Telephoto AF-S Zoom Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8G ED Autofocus Lens
3rd --> Nikon Zoom Telephoto AF VR Zoom Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8D G-AFS ED-IF Autofocus Lens

This 3 lens already can burn your pocket easily with price total more then RM 15K cry.gif

Then get a good body to pair with it ... icon_rolleyes.gif

Hey, actually if you mount FX lenses to a DX camera what will happen? I just realized I don't know the answer to this...

nothing...
juz that the effective focal length will be multiplied by 1.5...
so a 24-70 is effectively 36-105 on dx cam...wink.gif

or did u mean...dx lenses on fx body?
if thats wat u mean...
then the answer would be...
u'd get vignetting effect in most of ur shots...
bcoz the image circle craeated by dx lenses is much smaller...can couldnt cover the ff sensor...

on APS-C dslr, the focal length always needed to be multiplied with 1.5 (actually it is 1.53), although it is a DX lens..

for eg. d40 kit lens, 18-55mm, the actually focal length when comparing to full-frame dslr, it is 27-82++mm .

I just got the D80 18-135 kit lense, work well with my trusty d40, and most importantly super fast!

it's noticeably faster than d40 kit lens. I cancelled getting 55-200 VR and got this baby at Rm720.

go and try it

18-135 is a good travel lense too...ofcoz d most ideal is d 18-200 VR brows.gif
for d price...i think worth it... nod.gif
ofcoz u lose tat extra reach (200mm) and more crucial the VR wink.gif

i heard tat d IQ is abit slack for this lense (18-135)...any comment other sifu?
