i want to buy that one too. tongue.gif
if you can get the 18-200 get that one lar, no brainer laugh.gif

how much did you get the offer?
*
i miss my s3is 12x zoom.. sad.gif

18-200 should be more convenient, u dun have to change the lens often..
can switch to wide and tele in a blink..

but the price..almost 2k.

the 55-200 is cheaper, the lowest i found is RM800.

Will it be a good choice to get 55-200 if I only have kit lens ?
Thanks smile.gif
*
get the VR version, u need VR more in tele lens,
u can survive without VR in ur 18-55mm kit lens, but when the focal length gets bigger, the minor handshakes are amplified..

nikkor 55-200mm is the best affordable zoom lens u can get for nikon d40,
tamron 55-200mm is cheaper, but it cant autofocus with d40,
sigma 55-200mm can autofocus with d40, but it is just about the same price with nikkor,

that's the best affordable combination i could find unless u willing to pay Rm2.6k for nikkor 18-200mm VR..
save the hassle for changing lenses..

to me 4GB per card is more than enuff,

2GB is sufficient,

i'd prefer to have more cards, rather than all cramped into one.

Was on board yesterday. Snapped a sun rise photos. I think not that nice as the sun become overexposed. Any sifu can reach how to snap a clear round sun photo ?

Thanks.

there is no way u can do that, even u if meter the sun, u wont get round sun, becoz the sunlight is being reflected by the cloud,
it is all depends on ur luck and weather to have the right timing to get a round sunrise, for sunset it is easier..

i have seen few times, but not with my camera..

QUOTE(xandman @ Jan 31 2008, 05:47 PM)
round sun?
hahahaha...
try spot metering the sun...but i heard if u do that often....first ur eyes will be gone...next ur sensor...
btw...where got people take sun pic...moon pic got la..
*
I like taking sunrise and sunset pics smile.gif
