manual focus wont spoil the lens or body.

AF-S is the nikon's series of lenses that have a focusing motor, SWM.

55-200mm VR is budget tele lens.

for its price, it is great, good VR performance.
but it is abit soft at 200mm.

Sigma 70-300mm HSM out edy? how much ?
but that one without OS..

dun worry, it is just a stepping stone,
after that, u might wanna jump to AF-S 70-300mm VR, or 70-200mm f2.8

Haha laugh.gif laugh.gif

for the laptop to display the pictures right after it has been taken,
i think the nikon software has this feature.

btw,
a shot on 55-200mm VR @ 200mm..
didn't sharpen when PP, so u can see it is abit soft, i guess some sharpening would make it better..

Invest for the Nikon Trinity Lens (S'thing i usually bump into when people asking about what good combination of lens for Nikon DSLR)

1st  --> Nikon Zoom Super Wide Angle AF-S Zoom Nikkor 14-24mm f/2.8G ED Autofocus Lens
2nd -->  Nikon Zoom Wide Angle-Telephoto AF-S Zoom Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8G ED Autofocus Lens
3rd --> Nikon Zoom Telephoto AF VR Zoom Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8D G-AFS ED-IF Autofocus Lens

This 3 lens already can burn your pocket easily with price total more then RM 15K  cry.gif

Then get a good body to pair with it ...  icon_rolleyes.gif

the first lens will be better if only it is on full frame body..there only can go super widddddde.

on APS-C dslr, the focal length always needed to be multiplied with 1.5 (actually it is 1.53), although it is a DX lens..

for eg. d40 kit lens, 18-55mm, the actually focal length when comparing to full-frame dslr, it is 27-82++mm .
