According to the report, a pilot inadvertently extended the lift dump spoilers, something that should never be done during normal flight. It caused the aircraft to loss lift suddenly.

The report also blame the insufficient crew training about the lift dump system.

The report's conclusion also mentioned that the aircraft operator failed to obtain necessary approval for non-scheduled flight

pilot confused with in-flight spoiler?

Lift dump spoiler normally for reject TO and landing

Should have disabled this during mid flight. At this rate AI should take over pilots.

Maybe small plane less logic

If big plane I think logic can be implemented to disable

Maybe they can send info to manufacturer to implement due to this accident

likely happened right after pilot disengaged autopilot and do landing checklist

No. It is not flap. It is a device that used to reduce the lift. It can be used when the pilot need to abort take off, or when the pilot need to reduce the aircraft's speed.
