Yup, as i know most GR and LR qre quite friendly to everyone, but there still have some that will bark to strangers. I am not sure whether they train the GR/LR or the GR/LR likes to bark at stranger initially.

The problem is, you cannot expect that you MIGHT get 1 GR/LR that will bark to stranger cause it might not. sad.gif So, think properly. My fiend told me that Chow Chow is a good guard dog as well though it is a medium breed but they will bark at stranger (not sure whether will bite or not). Please consider what you need before you buy a dog.

I think mongrel will be a good guard dog cause they will bark at strangers but they might not listen to you as well. Hehe... At 1st when I plan to buy Choi Choi, i have the plan like you, hopefully she will bark at stranger. But, she did not and we decide to may be get another mongrel to be a guard dog loo since we cannot force her to bark ma.... They are friendly dog.. wub.gif wub.gif Hehe... Think twice before you buy... smile.gif Good luck. biggrin.gif

Hehehe... Yaya.. The colour changed from day to day, same to my Choi Choi. According to some of them, their "true colour" will be the same colour with their ear colour~~ biggrin.gif So now you can imagine from his ear the colour that he might have when he grow bigger~~ smile.gif

Mix breed is quite cheap 1 cause cannot have cert and don't have microchip also. The pet shop told me both the sire have MKA cert, but i don't really care about cert. I fall in love with her at the 1st sight~~ wub.gif So, decided to buy her loo... She very innocent when inside the petshop, but after reach home become devil~~ doh.gif

Hehe.. Unfortunately, mine 1 is mix breed so cannot have cert. You have your point but i think the most important is whether the puppy suitable for you or not (got fate with you or not).. Hehe.. smile.gif

QUOTE(JyEn @ Jun 5 2008, 04:51 PM)
heart gard is for dog at outside de ha? then now ron is outside i shud giv him? everyday ? or what? and one more thing is giv one time only or muz alwiz giv if he is outside?

QUOTE(won @ Jun 5 2008, 04:37 PM)
Heartgard is for preventing heartworm in dogs. Heartworm is transmitted by mosquito from infected dog to a healthy one.
*
You can see won's reply here. So, no matter your dog is at outside or inside, as long as your dog is exposed to mosquito, better give your dog HeartGuard to prevent HeartWorm. Dog suffered from HeartWorm may die~~ smile.gif
You can ask your vet and do some test 1st before you started to feed your dog HeartGuard.
