LOL... I think R & LR are more playful 1... Mine 1 also same, just like to bite, train them slowly loo... Don't allow them to bite ur hand and scold them when they bite shoes or other things that you don't want them to bite.

Barney eat what brand kibbles? Ben ler? What brand Ben eat now? I think what they eat may affect the teeth dropping time also. If they chew a lot then the teeth will drop faster, if i am not mistaken. I heard from one of my friend.

Not I spoilt her, when I first bought her home. She didn't eat much dy. Then, is either she doesn't want to eat and vomit or we soak the kibbles in water. If you were me, what you will do. We tried before give her the kibbles without soak in water for 1 whole day, she vomitted twice and no more energy like that. We just afraid that she will die. That time, even we soak the kibbles with water also she didn't eat. Then we asked the pet shop, they asked us to feed her cooked chicken/pork. Then only she started to eat.
Then we slowly changed from cooked pork to kibbles soak in water. Haih... What else we can do? Now, we gave her the normal kibbles also she doesn't eat and vomit the gastric juice. So, i was always planning to buy some nice and strong smell kibbles for her lo... Haih... Choi Choi is a picky gal~~ This post has been edited by Lovely_Gal: Jun 17 2008, 03:03 PM |

Golden Retriever is not really a good watch dog by nature. They like to play so they will not bark at stranger. Most of them will not bark at stranger.

I think is depends on how you train the dog, by nature they are not the type of watch/guard dog. They are working dog, but if you train them to be watch/guard dog, it is possible. But, I feel it is a bit sad for them cause they are playful by nature.

QUOTE(insideurheaven @ Aug 21 2008, 01:50 PM) tqtq...he's big now.but still a baby... Hehe... Choi Choi's mum is a lab, so they said normally follow mum 1 wor. But she shed a lot also. I always see fur in her food. =.=||choi choi look pretty lei.she looks more to a lab coz of her short fur.easy maintain also.ben's fur getting longer n shed alot. The tail looks like golden... Added on August 21, 2008, 2:20 pm QUOTE(TTY81 @ Aug 21 2008, 11:52 AM) huh? Hehe.. I did not mean the size of the head. Actually very hard to explain, can i said that the local 1 the face is longer while the aussie 1 is shorter? I mean near the mouth there. I dunno how to explain. Actually my darker colour retriever is bigger..coz he is 2 years old now..have achieved his full bulk and size..His head is actually very big and chunky..his body length is quite short though compared to my previous retrievers The Cream one is still small..stretching out..so looks a bit thin these days.. i expect him to be taller and longer than the darker retriever..but his head might not be as big..he looks more stream lined lol... May be is the food. Last time I changed to another brand of the kibbles and Choi Choi dropped a lot of fur. After that, i decided to stop feeding her that brand and switch to other brand. Less fur on the floor.
