Certain Subspecialist are highly demanded they wont bother to look at your degree pon. My surgeon friends working there now.

Who? They maybe doing attachment... but not consultant right. Sg has lots of doctors doing attachment there , my friend say is called flowship or something

It's hard for a malaysia trained Dr to go there to be consultant. Like a lateral move . Most likely they will downgrade you . It's like in malaysia u r managing director but go sg they give u general manager... yes still can work there but the details are important.

technically, life of rich doctor is much better here than overseas

Australia cost of living like kok

my aunty is gp there but cant work because at home nanny childcare is same like her salary and shes in the outback with no daycare

essentials and housing also so expensive

uk salary for nhs doctor is very low, private locum is hard to get

usa need to do boards, hardest exam in the world, and also need to worry about guns

malaysia if you rich life is good, especially when booking flights business is always cheapest when leaving kl because most cant afford the sgd or usd or gbp price
*
Overseas, income tax crazi..go Europe income tax can hit 55% for the rich.....Here good life as income tax is low....and can hire maids at home...Go US or UK they cant even afford to hire maid....unless u r billionaires...

it depends. Sinkieland first S$20k = no tax. That's RM70k no tax. Next S$10k = 2%. That's effectively RM700 tax on RM105,000 income.

In bolehland, one would be in 25% tax band for RM100+k salary.

If work above 6 months in sinkieland, claim tax resident = tax at local rates. Most bolehlanders working in sinkieland would be long term, not short term.

you're wrong. you remember when steam engine coming, got stupid workers digging using cangkul say, maybe in the future steam engine will replace us, but definitely not happening within our lifetime

respected expert globally already say will happen within 10 years

Those "global experts" also been saying that 10 years ago, and the 10 years ago before that

You ask the actual people working on AI and knows how AI works. They will tell you the truth, and not the hyped up stuff that companies are selling.

Simple case in point. Look at programmers, our work is probably one of the most available and properly tagged data source there is. Yet, there's no AI that can code properly. Any decent programmer using AI tools to help them code, eventually ditches it cause it was wasting their time and making them slower overall.

I have been hearing that more than 10 years ago. Until this day, AI still hasn't replaced any of our jobs. Heck, we still have drivers, delivery guys, janitors etc.

Its a progression.

For manufacturing countries like bolehland, the risk is from automation.

Right now, jobs are also being RPA-ed. That's only routine work right now. As AI gets incorporated, the work that is being replaced will gradually expand to more cognitive work. The most visible and direct replacement are the use of chatgpt eg in creative writing (remember Hollywood scriptwriters strike?)

Actually the risk is quite high considering that low or semi-skilled jobs are probably the ones that face the greatest risks. Its just that the introduction will also be innocuous to avoid staff uprisings.

60K if fully reported, tax should be more than some people's salaries.

Yes just like AI+EV+Solar is going to crush ICE in coming decade.

AI + solar sure. 100% fyi one can use AI + solar to make green synthetic fuel for ICE so please don't soo bodoh and extremist with your views

try to understand what exactly mean by EV

if you mean tesla/byd shit car with battery that going to blowup and only last several years and costs 50% of the car cost and self-discharge daily.... will you bet your balls that it will 100% crush ICE? i bet you don't have the balls to believe that. if you did, then put all your money in shittyEV stocks now. otherwise try to have some sense.

if you mean electric bus, van, train, yes, maybe

let do some math

medicine course 5 year (if not repeating semester)
HO 2 years (if really good, and don't need extension)
MO like maybe 4 -5 years
Specialist training - hard to say 3 years maybe
Specialist at KKM - bond- not sure how long, but my friend can cabut after 5 years

so 20 years of your life before the good life begin

many comrade fallen during the 20 years
*
I read it in this way:
Age 18 - 22 : medicine course 5 year (if not repeating semester)
Age 23 - 24 : HO 2 years (if really good, and don't need extension)
Age 25 - 29 : MO like maybe 4 -5 years
Age 30 - 32 : Specialist training - hard to say 3 years maybe
Age 33 - 37 : Specialist at KKM - bond- not sure how long, but my friend can cabut after 5 years

So age 37 in average calculation, start to have RM 100k month?

who is the actual AI expert you asked?

Most people I know doing actual work in AI.

You can also read this article la: https://ludic.mataroa.blog/blog/i-will-fuck...ntion-ai-again/

There are certain workloads that A.I. are good at, like pattern recognition through tremendous amount of processing. Like what alphafold3 has achieved. Its predicted a lot of things, but you're still going to need the actual top tier scientists to validate.

Tell me you're a mid programmer without telling me you're a mid programmer.

You obviously don't understand how these AI systems work, otherwise you wouldn't be so quick to be so proud that you're using A.I. to code.

In case you didn't know how it works, A.I. works on statistics. By definition, whatever it outputs is average. Do you think the average code on the internet is good? Do you know why talent programmers get paid so much? because writing good code is HARD. I bet you were one of the sheep that got impressed by devin.ai when it first launched laugh.gif

Maybe this amount of text is too difficult for you to process, so I use something that might be more to your level:

Understanding why LLM gives crappy code

Another example:

I also had the same experience as them, as did many of the talented software engineers I know. If you're not good, then sure it looks like its helping, if you're anywhere decent it actually starts to slow you down.
