TS,
If eco idle model, just get GP M42. If want to go for Amaron, go for Onyx series (60b20L). Dont go for Amaron. 50b20L but personally recommend GP cuz less problem than Amaron.
If no eco idle model, just use amaron go 38b20L or flo 42b20L because extended warranty.
Those pariah brand like voltex, astra, sprinter or even rocket are all oem battery. Same factory same battery but all different brand. Muthlu is the worst and tachi hasthe worst after sales service.

I will avoid Century and motolite. Short life span less than half to a year
Repeat customer for Varta and Panasonic. Each served me over 2 years.
Based on personal use experience

QUOTE(azbro @ Jun 27 2024, 06:03 PM) Stay away from cheap astra battery, or any other elcheapo battery. It will cost you more Even with regular drive, those battery can lose power and leave you stranded. Both of my cars using Astra battery after Salesman say very good, both cars already died twice, require me to call the technician come. 1 time come is RM50. If they check the battery still holds power, they will charge you. If it doesn't hold power, they will take it out and charge it. And give you spare battery, manada warranty konon give new. End up cost more than regular battery. For those seldom start car, better to invest in car charger or yummy Energizer one. Those cost RM400 above. My brother both cars using it, my parents car also using Energizer. Oh? I thought warranty means if the battery not working within 18mths, they will replace new
