Hi, can anyone help with this situation?
On April 20th, my wife had an accident where she swerved to avoid a cat and hit a tree. She was very nervous and didn’t take any photos at the time. A nearby family heard the crash and came out to help her.
The car was sent to the official Honda Workshop for repairs. The insurance adjuster gave an initial quote but seemed suspicious of our claim. They sent a third-party adjuster to interview us on May 15th, saying there’s no proof the accident happened where we said. They mentioned the lack of brake marks and the tree not being damaged as reasons for their suspicion.
I have provided some evidence, like call logs, a notification from Honda saying the airbag deployed, trip logs showing the accident location, and invited the helpful family to confirm this.
Since then, the adjuster has not replied, and today is June 21st. I’ve called the Insurance multiple times, but they say they’re still waiting on the adjuster. I've also tried contacting the adjuster directly several times but haven't received any response or callbacks.
So what can I do... It's being 2 months now since the accident..

Sorry for you TS.
First, it’s lucky no one was seriously hurt in the accident.
Second, if your wife had the presence of mind to take a photo of at the accident scene a lot of your concerns could have been alleviated - but, it’s hard to imagine how she must have felt at that point in time, so a photo was probably the last thing on her mind
Third, which insurance company was this, so we can all avoid it like the plague in the future?
All the best.

All the best. Unfortunately I'm on the side of the insurance company. We are all tought to document every MVA for claims purposes. Don't tell me the car wasn't even photographed once for insurance claims purposes? Even in a fender bender you are instructed by police to give any supporting evidence or its a case of he said she said. Whats to stop someone from doing fraud?

I would be suspicious too. That's why rule of thumb is never move the car until pics are taken. Once moved without pics everyone can say anything they like.

Because it might we "fraud" the accident then took the photo. 3. xxxx This post has been edited by 12e1121: Jun 21 2024, 05:01 PM

for an airbag to deploy, it should required a considerated force/impact from crash. but the tree has no damages found? is that possible?

3. Liberty Insurance Photo is car and impact on tree? Or car removed from site? Please answer and do know you are liable to be sued for defamation if you simply accuse a company if that's what you are after. So don't name the company if your case belum settle This post has been edited by Avangelice: Jun 21 2024, 04:59 PM
