Many very old people that seldom go out. Eg my fren in law go where also must eat rice. When they go Europe trip they die die find rice for them. Cost them alot of money. Hahaha

Most family run restraurant in Japan does't need deposit for reservation. If no show, they just removed the reservation tag on table. Unless you request special ingredient / require days for peperation then only need deposit.

Even Ex-Michilen 3 Star Jiro Sushi also no need deposit when making reservation. Alot people put him aeroplane, then angry and no more serving foreiners.....Michelin angry and take away all his stars.

That Japanese unhappy because in Japan culture, never put aeroplane. If cannot make it, must let people know in advance.
