As 3kk pointed out, even if we were to watch the Pink Panther now, it wouldn't be funny anymore. Comedy then and comedy now is so different and as you said, gags have been ripped off many a time in other movies.

Regardless of what, I Am Legend isn't a good film IMO. For a movie that tries to have realism in it, it fails epicly.

Just watched Hairspray and Eastern Promises.

Liked the songs in Hairspray, brought back memories of Grease to a certain extent. Though I am a bit disappointed not to see Travolta singing more but then, he was more of a dancer than singer. Not bad but Christopher Walken? You ought to be kidding.

Eastern Promises - man, this is fecking awesome. The cutting throat scene was brilliant biggrin.gif Loved the movie but surprised to see how beautiful Naomi Watts is wub.gif And Virgo Mortenssen's the MAN!!!! He looks like Dolph Lungdren [the guy from Univeral Soldier and one of the Rocky films]. Great acting from him and the dude that plays the brother.

lucky sean penn gets to suck watt's nippies in 21 grams. apparently robin wright-penn just found out about this and wants a divorce.

I haven been watching any movies lately! argh! only shoot em up which was quite fun but utterly forgettable. need to buy dvds... eastern promises, superbad, atonement, 3:10, the kingdom
*
You two, go Wikipedia and type Naomi Watts and see the picture displayed. Disgusting tongue.gif

I knew she was pretty but that pic scarred my image. Muholland Drive and 21 grams will never be the same tongue.gif

Atonement quite clear but Superbad not clear. Speedy said that the movie not released in Malaysia so screener is the best available. Sigh.

I liked Predator 2 more than 1 and similarly I thought Cameron did 2 better than Scott with Alien.

BTW, Alien Resurrection started all the garbage. 3 was tolerable.

Did watch The Notebook, but only to watch Rachel McAdams get her tits out. Hahaha.

Last movie watched. 3:10 To Yuma on the plane. Did turn on Balls of Fury after that although I fell asleep as I was tired.

Just watched Gone Baby Gone and it's a movie and a half. Can't review much without spilling the twist ending but damn, this movie is thought provoking.

It also preaches untruths.

Well, yeah it does take the theories as the ultimate truth but seeing footage of Zapruder's film is well worth the fee. smile.gif

Burga - who loves a good conspiracy theory

Then it is not the movie that is mysterious, it's the event tongue.gif

What's so mysterious? The ultimate question of "Who killed JFK lah" laugh.gif

Neither the movie nor anyone has had a definitive answer so it's still mysterious biggrin.gif

Its a thriller tackling one of the biggest whodunits of all time. Was there a second shooter? Were the CIA involved? How about the Mafia? LBJ? If JFK isnt mysterious, I dont know what is.
*
But I had the feeling before watching the movie so it has nothing to do with the movie. The movie may have heightened the emotions but it did not create those emotions.

How am I wrong? I mean, surely everyone has had their own theories on who did it. The movie is great, I like Costner but it certainly did not create any emotions.

Haha, how can JFK not have any effect on your emotions? It was bloody thought provoking.

No it wasn't. We had the thoughts before we have seen the movie. Don't tell me for once, you never thought that LHO couldn't have done it by himself before seeing the movie?
