So for overseas transaction (assuming if you are using CC to reload)
1. 1% charge to reload using CC. 2. Forex rate different charges. 3. Overseas transaction fee. Gooding? NO. Back to CC you might get better benefits (i.e. PPL spending requirements etc). Bye TnG, better just use Wise / CC / Cash. |

QUOTE(sadukarzz @ Apr 8 2024, 12:44 PM) So for overseas transaction (assuming if you are using CC to reload) Problem is china don't use visa/MC, so except for international hotels and big department stores, you cannot use cc.1. 1% charge to reload using CC. 2. I suppose for small purchases the extra charges is not much and worth the convenience. |

Yeah, and this is only applicable to China only. I suppose for small purchases the extra charges is not much and worth the convenience. The rest, can forget about TnG. And soon you might find other e-wallets supported in China. or WeChat pay becomes more lenient. |

QUOTE(Ttbatdtptsm @ Apr 8 2024, 12:47 PM) if you mean money changer, their rate could be worse than visa/master rate.QUOTE(RT8081 @ Apr 8 2024, 01:04 PM) if credit card, need to use unionpay. But smaller shops might not accept credit card. QR Payment is more common there. Other options would be Alipay or WeChat pay. RT8081 liked this post
