So far how's your experience on iOS or iPhones? Any apps ever crashed before or just hang?
Most importantly banking apps. Like cimb, public bank and maybank.. All good?
as for Facetime and iMessage, do they work and are FOC when use between apple users? sorry if noob question.. totally 0 knowledge on apple product.
daily driver apps for me usually just whatsapp, microsoft teams
social media are the usual - fb, ig, tiktok..
long time user of ios.. so far nothing bad eh? as in real terrible experience
*
Just dull with the same interface. And you can’t really install any “free” streaming apps. Also battery tend to suck after the 1 year warranty period..maybe due to new iOS. Other than that, no issue with the daily UI experience. Value for money? Can’t really say that now with the pricing reaching 7k for appropriate storage. Got better value in android. Just waiting for pixel to be officially launched and I’ll probably switch just for change of experience.

15 pro 512 is around 6k after discount, for s24+ 512 is around 4.4k..

thats a big difference

Nah gotta compare iphone pro max with s24 ultra. both of these phones are more competitively priced
15 pro is like somewhere in between s24+ and s24 Ultra imo.
but yeah samsung offering more promos and sales.. I saw someone in the Samsung thread got s24 ultra 512gb or 256gb for around 4.5k also. But from some online store that he states is original set la..

Long time user using iPhone since 3GS, cant say much about experience for new user. My experience might be differ than your expectations.

All banking apps work flawlessly. As others mentioned, the security is top notch.

FaceTime & iMessage are FOC.

Another strong point for iOS is the app optimization. Main reason why they all work flawlessly.

Customer service is top notch as well. No other brand comes close to this point.

as long as no issues with banking apps and apps never crash then its all good i guess.

I started using iphone since 5S. Bought it from my friend which upgraded his phone. haha. I bought for 700 that time. lol. Consider quite cheap, market rate was around 1k i think. Used the phone for close to like 5 years+ i think, then upgraded to iPhone 11, preordered it cause it will arrive on my bday. haha.. Really did got it on my bday. After 3 years i upgraded to iPhone 14 Pro Max and gave my phone to my dad. Also bought an ip11 for my mom last year. So my whole family now is in Apple ecosystem haha. my sisters are using iphones as well. lol so far phone is good, rarely lags, been using ip14pm only lagged once. sweat.gif
*
what was the reason that it lagged on the ip14pm? just random or heavy usage at that time?

Suck as in how suck? Can make it through 1 day of usage from morning till night?
True, updates might drain some as well..
value for money imo if you pay 6k now, and last you through 5-6 years.. then its quite worth it. provided there's no other major issues with anything and still pretty lag free throughout the years
I doubt pixel will ever be launched in malaysia.. unless there's a big player that is willing to take it up and be the authorized seller here.

I am an Android to iOS converter.

Android has more freedom on personalization but with the cost of lesser optimization and too many settings to do out from the box. Plenty of choices for brand; Samsung, Oneplus, Google Pixel are some of the past smartphones I used.

In other hand, iOS is stricter on customizations and more restrictions on what user can or cannot do. However out from the box they are so much easier to use compared to Android. Everything is optimized and in order. I even bought my elder parents iPhones for the ease of use. Except for volume control…… my god.

I know Apple always said how secure their devices are. It is not entirely/totally, but I would say more controlled than Android. No one is safe in this internet world so always be vigilant. Ecosystems wise I have no comment as my iPhone and Airpods Pro are the 2 Apple products I only owned.

In conclusion, I am using iPhone now is due to its more minimalist user interface, stable/well optimized OS and readily support for longer period of time.

Hi guys and girls, what made you all decided to change over to iPhone, be it new buyers or older buyers.
I'm considering whether or not to get one, maybe an iPhone 15 Pro Max, but then just want to know more real use cases or benefits of iPhone instead of through Youtube reviews where they mostly speak of the main features and not the small small functions.
Things like gestures, or hidden functions that you guys really like in an iPhone

The only thing I know about iPhone is that there's no back button. Different app have different ways to go 'back'. Some are on the top left or right corner, some have gestures like swipe to left to back?
Any other things / features that are different an Android?

I personally love the software, the features & it’s much easier to transfer photo during hangout/family gathering as most of them wear iPhone (in my case), been using both iPhone & samsung (as second phone), but tbh I like them both. I like samsung for its zoom camera quality, I like Iphone for the software.

true i guess.. with the airdrop, can just drop and share to other iPhone users around easily.
like when I'm the only samsung user in a group of friends with iPhones. All use airdrop while i need whatsapp.. kek
camera wise, I think it's subjective. No doubt Samsung's camera with the zoom is better in quality as its a legit lens and not digital zoom.
but the outcome of the colours and texture, still kinda 50-50 between samsung and iphone, depending on light
screen wise, I can't say as I've only been looking at Samsung AMOLED for the past 3.5 years
but if im not mistaken, Samsung is the one providing OLED screens to Apple right?
So quality wise, similar?

Am hybrid users of both samsung (Currently S23FE) and iphone (Currently 14 pro) user.

The main reason i like iPhone is their video recording (specially stability and quality and options) where as Samsung always has this weird "movement" feel trying to stabilise the result (tested S22 & S23 series)

Camera wise also depends user i guess, i love the color tone of iPhone as compare to Android's which always like to go vivid and vibrant or over-sharpness.
However, recently i do notice Samsung decreases the "fake" color feel which is nice.

The iCloud performs very well across all other apple devices which i can easily retrieve my things as long as connected to internet.

Simplicity also one of the selling point for me now as i really lazy do those customization already (almost 40 d). Swipe up to background the apps is so convenient or hold the bottom line to swipe between apps.

Recently also purchase HomeKey compatible door lock and can use iPhone/Apple watch to unlock biggrin.gif

The cheap screen protectors & cases biggrin.gif

Some things that I miss from Android:
- Back button
- Keyboard
- Notification icons
- Youtube without ads
- Other Android apps not available on App Store
- Camera settings
- Volume button

What, since when apple has cheap screen protectors and cases? You're saying knock offs and things from china or original items?

Back button - yeah, not universal across apps, understandable
Keyboard - what about it? I know the new iphones can swipe right?
Notification - I see my friend has a long ass list of notifications, are they not able to be cleared? She always has like 20+ items
Volume button - what about it?

OEM. I've always been jealous that iPhone users can get cheap SP & cases.
Of course, that was just one of the reasons.

The following are just my personal observation and experience. They may or may not be cons.
YMMV.

Keyboard - The layout of the keyboard.
Android has numbers, comma and period. It's also customizable.

Notification icons - Icons on top of your screen when there's a notification.

Volume button - Volume settings, to be precise
Android can adjust media, ringtone, notification, alarm volume all at the same time.

ooh right.. Keyboard. on the ipad, I think you cannot long press the top row of alphabets to choose their number counterparts. Only become the same alphabet with a symbol above
So notifications in apple, cannot see the app logo / icon, but you gotta pull down the whole notification tab to see what kind of notification you got?
ah.. true. android can set different volumes for separate functions.

Why would you still consider rewarding Samsung that disrespect you? Besides even every version of SD has certain flaws (just much less than Exynos).

Its 2024, there is no need to debate this anymore, Iphone's have officially won and its just like Blu ray has beaten HD DVD. Accept it and move on.

BTW Iphone also can place apps everywhere nowadays and it also has a sort of app drawer if you like. Trully, there is no major difference that one cannot really over come either way. If you need something very specific like 100x or 50x camera that only a certain Android phone can offer you, or some specific app like location spoofing etc, then you get the Android. Or gaming.

Otherwise just get an Iphone and live your life. Simpler, no need to worry and sure lasting.

Samsung Pay does the same.

The only thing i think iOS wins is the environment it creates including other Apple products, which is no doubt.

Normally I’d not like to be baited into these type of debates but you’re comparing the entire phone population. If you slice it correctly by comparing phones at the same price points it will look way more different.
Of course if you look at phones below rm3000 there is no Apple phone and that market is vast. And iPhones simply don’t exist in those markets to compete. So perhaps in my analogy of Blu-ray beating hd dvd you can say a large percentage of population still using VCD?

Not really attempting to engage in a debate, but rather couldn't find any supporting articles or statistics for your statement regarding "Iphone's have officially won."
I would find it interesting if there were any sources from your side, or rather if it's just your personal opinion.
