I am ex-Android user during my school time, I like to customized alot of things, everyday change this and that.

Then after coming out to work, i became minimalist. I like those that work from day to day, of course without lag.

ADD-ON: Back then I used Note 3, when I urgently want to call someone in front of my client, my phone froze and required to pull out battery to restart
My client and I stood there very awkwardly like few mins. 

In IOS, there's a back button on the top left corner, and sometimes don't, depends on the UI of the app. But i just have to swipe from left to right, and it act as a "back" shortcut.

Coz my wife is using it. Several years later, the whole family. So its the ecosystem.

why do you want an iphone? for the long lasting-ness of an iphone? I heard from my friends who are apple fanboy/fangirls, they can use for 4-5 years before needing to change another phone. if it can lasts that long, then I think it's worthy to buy. I have a friend upgraded from iphone 6 to iphone 13.. that's like what? 7 years?
is it for your own usage? yes
just youtube only? whatever a phone can do of course.. who would buy a 6k phone just for youtube?
for its ecosystem? - if its worth getting. Currently im on a midrange samsung A71, with the earbuds and galaxy watch.. if get iphone, somehow feels like it might be a waste for the earbud and watch
for your work? - daily driver and work?
you want to test iOS? - maybe? seems need time to get use to. I can't use my friends' iphones at all

Why got me into using Iphones -
I bought 2 expensive Samsungs (Note's and S's) were my last 2 androids. I was seriously considering to shift to Huawei but it got nerfed, and frankly I got spooked by stories of insecurity.

I had the most trouble with both Samsungs up to the point I could not take it anymore and surely needed a few phone. There was no good choice in 2020, except for the Iphone 12. The samsungs never lasted more than 1.5 years everytime. Either SW bugs or HW bugs will surely come out. I didn't want to spend 3-4k on a phone that doesn't last.

My wife who was very adamant about not switching to IOS even though we all used Ipads since 2012, also found the Iphone usable eventually. Now she is fine with it.

So i think if you value your life and time in not having to tinker and do all sorts of reset / reflash / tweaking / greenify bullshit, and just want to use your phone then Iphone works.

I've seen the latest Samsung S's that some of my friends rock. I think their camera are great, if not better than equivalent year Iphones. I think their HW is also great. But no one has a better SW package that works easily out of the box than a Iphone.

AND when you combine this with a Apple watch and Airpod it is really smooth and simple ecosystem that just effing works. On top of that it works for a far longer time than a Samsung or China phone.

The simplicity of iOS.
I’ve reached the age that I just want things to work smoothly.

But for My next phone I might shift back to Samsung S series due to new iPhones are getting more and more expensive.
For now still loving my 13 mini

That no back button issue is only a matter of getting used to. As mentioned by others, you can swipe left or right to go back or forward on certain apps. Also, many things you could do on an android doesn’t work on an iPhone and you might get annoyed at first but after a while you get used to it. Once you really understand how the phone works and all its tips and tricks, you’ll start to realize how easy it is.
Only setback for me is many functions are not available in our region. Might be nitpicking to some, but it annoys me that I cannot use the phone to its full potential.

I'm more comfortable with iOS as my daily driver than Android although I've tried using severals Android phones including Mi, Pixel, Samsung, Huawei etc. I always prefer a straight forward OS. 80-90% of the time iOS doesnt give me any issue. Any of my daily driver apps works flawlessly. Currently using Android as 2nd device.

It all depends on individual preferences. Both has its pros & cons. Need to take consideration of your daily usage. What app, does it run smoother, will it give me problem in long run etc.

Been using iPhone since 3GS -> 4 -> 6Plus -> X -> 11Pro -> 15pro.. only other phone ill consider if changing is Google Pixel...which is not available officially here.

15 pro 512 is around 6k after discount, for s24+ 512 is around 4.4k..

Long time user using iPhone since 3GS, cant say much about experience for new user. My experience might be differ than your expectations.

All banking apps work flawlessly. As others mentioned, the security is top notch.

FaceTime & iMessage are FOC.

Another strong point for iOS is the app optimization. Main reason why they all work flawlessly.

Customer service is top notch as well. No other brand comes close to this point.

I started using iphone since 5S. Bought it from my friend which upgraded his phone. haha. I bought for 700 that time. lol. Consider quite cheap, market rate was around 1k i think. Used the phone for close to like 5 years+ i think, then upgraded to iPhone 11, preordered it cause it will arrive on my bday. haha.. Really did got it on my bday. After 3 years i upgraded to iPhone 14 Pro Max and gave my phone to my dad. Also bought an ip11 for my mom last year. So my whole family now is in Apple ecosystem haha. my sisters are using iphones as well. lol so far phone is good, rarely lags, been using ip14pm only lagged once.

Just dull with the same interface. And you can’t really install any “free” streaming apps. Also battery tend to suck after the 1 year warranty period..maybe due to new iOS. Other than that, no issue with the daily UI experience. Value for money? Can’t really say that now with the pricing reaching 7k for appropriate storage. Got better value in android. Just waiting for pixel to be officially launched and I’ll probably switch just for change of experience.

I personally love the software, the features & it’s much easier to transfer photo during hangout/family gathering as most of them wear iPhone (in my case), been using both iPhone & samsung (as second phone), but tbh I like them both. I like samsung for its zoom camera quality, I like Iphone for the software.

The cheap screen protectors & cases 

Some things that I miss from Android:
- Back button
- Keyboard
- Notification icons
- Youtube without ads
- Other Android apps not available on App Store
- Camera settings
- Volume button

OEM. I've always been jealous that iPhone users can get cheap SP & cases.
Of course, that was just one of the reasons.

The following are just my personal observation and experience. They may or may not be cons.

Keyboard - The layout of the keyboard.
Android has numbers, comma and period. It's also customizable.

Notification icons - Icons on top of your screen when there's a notification.

Volume button - Volume settings, to be precise
Android can adjust media, ringtone, notification, alarm volume all at the same time.
