swipe left to back is almost universal.

Why got me into using Iphones -
I bought 2 expensive Samsungs (Note's and S's) were my last 2 androids. I was seriously considering to shift to Huawei but it got nerfed, and frankly I got spooked by stories of insecurity.

I had the most trouble with both Samsungs up to the point I could not take it anymore and surely needed a few phone. There was no good choice in 2020, except for the Iphone 12. The samsungs never lasted more than 1.5 years everytime. Either SW bugs or HW bugs will surely come out. I didn't want to spend 3-4k on a phone that doesn't last.

My wife who was very adamant about not switching to IOS even though we all used Ipads since 2012, also found the Iphone usable eventually. Now she is fine with it.

So i think if you value your life and time in not having to tinker and do all sorts of reset / reflash / tweaking / greenify bullshit, and just want to use your phone then Iphone works.

I've seen the latest Samsung S's that some of my friends rock. I think their camera are great, if not better than equivalent year Iphones. I think their HW is also great. But no one has a better SW package that works easily out of the box than a Iphone.

AND when you combine this with a Apple watch and Airpod it is really smooth and simple ecosystem that just effing works. On top of that it works for a far longer time than a Samsung or China phone.

yeah now the latest or rather their flagships are quite comparable with iphones. Good software and hardware, just depends on what the user really wants in a phone.
yeah I heard of iphone lasting for years, easily 4 and above. But I still haven't heard of a Samsung even flagship ones lasting more than 3 years before something starts to spoil.
heck, even latest s24 is getting exynos chips, which is quite a let down. Only the s24 ultra is getting sd gen 3.
at least base model iphone 15 is getting last year ip 14 pro's A16 chip.
feels like samsung is not treating their customer base with respect..
Samsung S series is similarly in price with iphones though. around similar range. maybe only differ by a few hundred.
cons of living in a non-western country i guess?
true, everything takes time to get used to. Android do give more freedom for customization, widgets, and layout setting.. like you can place apps wherever you feel like it whereas iPhone forces you to fill up the grid.

Why would you still consider rewarding Samsung that disrespect you? Besides even every version of SD has certain flaws (just much less than Exynos).

Its 2024, there is no need to debate this anymore, Iphone's have officially won and its just like Blu ray has beaten HD DVD. Accept it and move on.

BTW Iphone also can place apps everywhere nowadays and it also has a sort of app drawer if you like. Trully, there is no major difference that one cannot really over come either way. If you need something very specific like 100x or 50x camera that only a certain Android phone can offer you, or some specific app like location spoofing etc, then you get the Android. Or gaming.

Otherwise just get an Iphone and live your life. Simpler, no need to worry and sure lasting.

These statements are contradict to each other.

Sorry but Iphone won as in?

Samsung Pay does the same.

The only thing i think iOS wins is the environment it creates including other Apple products, which is no doubt.

Normally I’d not like to be baited into these type of debates but you’re comparing the entire phone population. If you slice it correctly by comparing phones at the same price points it will look way more different.
Of course if you look at phones below rm3000 there is no Apple phone and that market is vast. And iPhones simply don’t exist in those markets to compete. So perhaps in my analogy of Blu-ray beating hd dvd you can say a large percentage of population still using VCD?

Not really attempting to engage in a debate, but rather couldn't find any supporting articles or statistics for your statement regarding "Iphone's have officially won."
I would find it interesting if there were any sources from your side, or rather if it's just your personal opinion.

Sorry about my use of rhetoric, my own opinion is worth only 2c or less. Feel free to ignore.

I'd say as of 2024 only lah....we can't say Android will never be a better choice in the future. Make a better product, people will buy.
